It will work but it can only record lower resolutions like 1080p. If you want to record 4k it might stop recording after a few seconds and give you an error message that the card is not fast enough.

I fell for a bargain: A 256 GB Sandisk micro SDXC Extreme Pro U3 on Amazon France. But DJI in Paris told me it won't work properly on my MAVIC AIR 2. Are they right? I thought I would need that much when I do some long hyperlapse. Should I send my parcel back to Amazon and ask for a couple of 64 or 128 in exchange? I often re-format my present Sandisk 128 after recording their content. Anticipated thanks for your advice!

If it recorded fine then I think you're ok. 4k is 4k. It's just that some cameras have a higher bit rate, meaning even though it's all 4k they capture more information giving you a bit more wiggle room in post production. And for those you need th faster one. But hey, now you got both and can record even more. Have fun flying! Cheers, dan

One thing I would like to point out is that whatever capacity is on the front of the card you'll never get to use whole this space. Having said that, card rated 64gb is even less attractive than you could think.

Thanks for video. Only confused, because I saw a Sandisk Extreme on Amazon and the actual micro sd card also said Plus on it. The one you show in the video, just has extreme on it. Another difference is that one was black. I haven't shopped cards in a while, and there's a whole bunch of new ones out there.

I also have a 64GB that is black. They just look cool and are easier to loose that's all, lol. Just make sure it says V2 and you should be golden :)

How about going a little deeper...what happens when you have a Sandisk, U3, V30 256 etc and you still get a message SLOW WRITING SPEED?, is it due to bad formatting?..etc. Thanks, can you format it in another device where you have more control, and in that case which formatting is the right one?, if you choose 4K or 1080 (for example) the actual writing speed is the same? or changes....

The Mavic Mini even supports up to 256GB so you should be good! Just make sure the card is the right speed so it won’t stop recording half way through a shot. Here is the official DJI site. You can see on the right column at the bottom, the cards they recommend: www.dji.com/mavic-mini/specs

Yes I had the problem before. Are you recording in a high frame rate and/or high Fps? Also check that your as card has V30 on it, or A2.

That was the reason for me to do this research. And as you guessed, the words don't really matter. It's the numbers that really specify the capability of the cards. So u3 or V30 is what you want to look for. Cheers. Dan

The name doesn't matter too much. Make sure it has "V30" because that means highest speed. Which means you can record 4k video. Hope that helps. Cheers, Dan
