Just got mine, 2nd hand, made in the 80s. Which I believe is still the good old original way. Perfect jacket! love it

Within half a decade they'll outsource it overseas... I love the brand, but they've lost their way.

Sadly they don't make them like they used too. The cruiser is one of the only things left that they actually do make in the U.S.A.; most of the other items have been outsourced. Even with the Cruiser the wool is now imported from Italy vs getting them from American suppliers like they used too.

Its B.S. my Filson is made in Bangledesh.

The Mackinaw Cruiser is made of imported materials now. Not worth the outrageous $549 price tag. Check out smaller outfitters that don’t outsource.
