Amazing technology compared to what was available in Australia at the time, where different coloured backlight, txt and snake were considered amazing. It must have been one of their first models as my wife bought it for me while we were living in Tokyo between '99 and '03. It is strange that Wikipedia states that it launched in Q2 of '06.
