I'm shocked that Nokia was still the top phone brand up until December 2012, and they still have over 20% of the market share up until December 2013. They were iconic, but I don't remember seeing anyone with a Nokia phone after 2009. lol

You can check out the Wikipedia page for Microsoft Lumia. You can dig up statistics for Microsoft Windows Phone and Mobiile stats. What you cannot dig up is how much Google and Apple paid so that even for today the company is named Unknow on thee charts. And the fact that you got those two replies before tells it all. Even in the press they were unheard of, while I am pretty sure you heard about Chinese non-sense a whole lot more back then.

Been using Xiaomi phones since 2018 (you can blame Pokémon Go), but it's a more famous brand than I expected. I do know a lot of people with Xiaomi phones though (almost all of them also play PoGo xd).

In Hungary its the second most popular brand with 22% (the first is samsung with 39%), but a lot of people are planning to give up on xiaomi and switch to samsung or oneplus. (Me and most of my friends are using xiaomi but plan to switch)

Market share. You cannot count "percent of people". As one single person, I have owned smartphones from Sony Ericsson (1), Samsung (3), Sony (1), Huawei (1), and Apple (1), using three operating systems Symbian OS, Android, and iOS.
