People still use the M4 and GRAU a ton since they casual "point and shoot" automatics. You'll just get those occasional insta deaths from FAL users, now that anyone with a trigger finger has potential to outgun anything.

Yeah I feel like they wanted people who would never pick up the FAL to try it out, but because the advantages of the GRAU and M4 are so obvious they needed to do something EXTREME to make the FAL a bit more of an entry-level skill weapon. Hence the over-buff. And they are probably hoping that when the inevitabe nerf comes around, enough people will have tried the FAL and liked it to stick with it, so we don't go right back to the exact same old meta as before

@@animalxINSTINCT89 I think the explanation is far more simple. Infinityward is awful at weapon balancing. Either there's a few weapons on a pedestal like CoD4's M16 or MW3's MP7, or they make all weapons kill nearly instant, with MW2 and Ghosts being perfect examples.

I dont use the m4 because I dont ha e the good iron sight and idk why but it doesnt feel good in my hands. After the grau nerf I started to use the m13, kilo, and bruen and they are really good. I used the fal before it was buffed so I can get it gold and it was dog shit and had to use. Now when I use it, it feels so unfair because I can outgun people who shoots before me and in mp I occasionally get that lucky headshot which help me win snd games.

The FAL has been my favorite gun since mw2, and I am happy that it's finally get the love that it deserves. Personally it takes a lot skill and patience to use a semi auto, so I think it's good that it's rewarding those players. Keep in mind that the FAL still gets easily out gunned by a grau at long range, so it does feel well balanced. But the 1 shot headshot maybe a bit much.

The fal fires 7.62 nato , same as ebr, the sks is firing 7.62 soviet, same as the ak. So In real life the ebr should hit the hardest because of the longest barrel, then the fal, then the sks. 7.62 nato is a substantially stronger round than 7.62 soviet. And that’s annoying because the sks should fire AR ammo

I feel bipods need love and a rework. Here’s my idea: make the bipod attachment like an actual bipod where you can go prone and it allows you to mount on the ground. But, make it to where the player can only turn a certain degree and if they want to get up they have to go through a cancel bipod animation.

You know what kills me about the EBR 14/M14, in almost every game they give it a ten round standard mag, when that gun has a standard 20 round mag IRL. To make matters worse, the SKS in MW has a 20 round detachable mag standard, where the SKS IRL has a 10 round internal mag that is loaded with a strip-clip, you can get detachable mags for them but that's not what it comes with. I agree with you though if they're going to push a smaller mag on the EBR, it should deal more damage

I’ve always kind of wanted the semi autos to have their own “dmr ammo” it would probably be too complicated for most people. You could attach it to the sniper ammo on the ground, so it doesn’t add an extra ammo type to search for. You’d find a sniper ammo bundle and it would give you 10 sniper ammo as it does now, but also 10-20 “dmr ammo.” Just search for sniper as you do now except you’d just have say 80 reserve shots to play with. It’ll never happen but I think it would help both the sks and ebr greatly while at the same time bringing the fal down a notch

I use the FAL as my close range weapon with a sniper rifle when I want to have a sniper. The FAL is just insanely good up close. I use the monolithic suppressor, Marksman barrel, no stock, merc forgrip and the tac laser. This setup makes it even better for close to mid range fighting. Then anything for long range I just use my sniper.

I've always loved the gun handling of the EBR, actually across multiple games. When I first got warzone it was the gun I went with, but as you've pointed out it just can't be used in warzone with ammo limitations. Still love using it in multiplayer. I now use the FAL, which even if it gets nerfed will still probably be a go to simply because I really like the gameplay with semi autos. Seeing this video shows why i like the EBR, because it is those medium range engagements that I prefer to get into. I doubt they will do it, but if they buffed the EBR so it could use assault rifle ammo, and maybe a larger magazine to make it competitive in warzeon, it might still be fun to play off-meta.

The CR's 10 rounds yes but the M4 has a faster TTK anywhere outside of 25 meters AND it can go full auto, plus it keeps that TTK superiority while also having the same flat damage numbers anywhere in the body. If you want to talk about disadvantages then comparing the FAL to the semi auto marksman rifles is about as fair as comparing the MP5 to a pistol, it's a pointless waste of everyone's time, at least here the M4 SOCOM is superior in SOME situations

People don't realise but the FAL was actually good before this buff it just wasn't as good close range, since the close range buff its insane now. It still requires more skill that the Grau or M4 did but its still good. What's crazy is not everyone likes semi auto guns so it actually brings variety. I see Grau, M4, M13, FAL, Ram-7. When before all i used to be was the Grau. Good players will dominante with the FAL, to maybe nerf if slightly I'd reduce the RPM so its still good but doesn't beat out SMGs if you miss shots.

Just wanted to make a suggestion: I think we need more comparisons between guns stacked with the best attachments for them, cause thats what we use in the end of the day. May be hard for some guns to figure out the „best“ but to give you 2 examples: all sniper players basically pick the best attachments for quickscoping, so a comparison between ADS times, with full attachments would be more useful than the comparison for vanilla guns. Another example is the uzi which I heard might be the best mp with the specific .41 rounds. Just my cup of tea, would really appreciate a video on Ads times with full loaded snipers. See you bro!

My SA87 DMR build: -mono suppressor -25.4" factory barrel -Commando foregrip -Rubberized grip tape -optic Nonexistent recoil, 30rnd mags, still a 7-8 shot kill vs 3 armor plates, higher ROF, and still solid range. The only thing I would change for your FAL loadout is run base 20 round mag with SOH, and for the SKS loadout I would run Ranger grip over the 30 round mag, 20 rounds are more then enough on a semi auto. And i would go with Ranger grip over the stock on the EBR too much recoil for long range where the gun is made to shine. I loved the EBR at games launch but ever since the SKS came out I have been staying with the SKS. FAL is great but SKS is basically a long range FAL.

Sks suffers from aiming stability when not using a scope, so it's a +1 to the ranger grip (and tac laser) from me. I also wish the bullet velocity was faster with DMRs. At least on par with LMGs (PKM is nice with extended barrel). +1 on the flinch too. DMRs need love.

Nick McLean Agree that aiming stability is very important for the SKS, and for that I’d highly recommend the SKS stock (the wooden one as Jordan Logan mentioned above). Hands down one of the most useful and underrated attachments for that gun imo. Plus it looks sexy as hell. No camo needed.

the merc and operator are much better than the ranger, they are some of the stats bars that are a lie. ace covers this in certain videos, apart from being better at their main function of recoil control, the ranger even causes an deduction in aim down sights speed (meaning slower). the merc even gives a hidden speed boost so it having the best recoil control, best ads, and best movement means you should just use that. if your having trouble with stability though, then you should choose the commando foregrip over any of the recoil control attachments as its the best for stabilization and i think has no effect ads. maybe the ebr needs it but the sks has the least recoil of them all and hes using the 22 inch fss barrel which already gives recoil control and better bullet velocity to possibly help bullet drop. you probably would rather an extra 10 shots in a clip rather than similar engagements with less resources, especially for situations that occur in warzone.

Regarding the barrel selection, I agree, damage range is less helpful on the SKS & EBR. Recoil control is also less important as you've shown the base recoil is very low. Bullet velocity is significantly improved however, which can help a lot on those long range shots.

So, let me summarize: The FAL is a demon of carnage in close to medium ranges, but fails at the last hurdle when it comes to long range. The SKS is better for less accurate players who will miss a shot or 2. The EBR-14(My Personal Favorite) excels at medium-to-long ranges if you can hit your shots. Sure, the Kar98k is good for lethal damage, but the EBR-14 is better for taking on large groups of enemies from afar. But beware, the EBR-14 is for accurate players ONLY. And don’t use it in close quarters. There is no “best” weapon. It really depends on your skill and play style.

I always tend to lean towards semi auto rifles, which is why I love the FAL. If you’re not trying to use it as a sniper, it absolutely crushes. I do love the SKS and use it a lot in WZ, it’s just the ammo reserve kills its long term potential. It destroys as well at medium range. The EBR is growing on me and I have been successful with it recently; it’s a great support weapon in trios and quads - definitely not a solos primary. I do have classes for all these guns in WZ but I always find myself gravitating towards the FAL.

Zenn Labs honestly I don’t think they are better even at range because of how much ammo you’ll be wasting since the sks and ebr use sniper ammo. I’ve been doing really good with the FAL recently and I doubt I’d be able to do what I’ve been doing with either of those weapons

I would make a category of ammo called “marksman.” It would apply to the SKS, the EBR, and the MK2, this one would have either 120 reserve at max or 100 at max. It would be easier than sniper ammo to find but not as much as the others.

I'll stick by the EBR until the end of Modern Warfare's cycle. I still shred people with it. My biggest gripe is it not being able to one hit kill anyone with a headshot in Warzone. I've gotten many wins with it and like you said, it gives me the ability to still spam up close and counter snipe when needed. And to me it's all about comfort. I've used it so much I learned to aim high so everything to me is always going to be chest, then head. Or just headshots.

I'm going to propose the following change to the FAL...rate of fire reduced from 500 to 360, headshot damage reduced to 99 in regular multiplayer and 125 in WZ. Upper torso damage increased from 78 to 88. Damage to all other body parts increased from 65 to 74.

This is a super helpful video. Would have loved to also see the DMR conversion for the CR-56 AMAX in this list too. Incredibly competitive with these three guns, as far as my experience goes. Obviously, there are fewer customization options because it isn't semi-auto at base without the M67 mags, but still a very viable weapon option.

If the FAL can do more damage than marksman rifles than they shouldn’t take sniper ammo. This pisses me off so much because the required sniper ammo for the SKS and EBR should mean they do more damage. I’d simply make it to where they take the same ammo as the FAL. Another fix to do instead is buff their damage to make sense of the sniper ammo requirement, and have some recoil reduction. The EBR is the only gun in the game that makes me feel like an absolute badass. I used it all the time in MW3 and I’m a big fan. Seeing it this weak is sad 😔.

My side of the M14 vs SKS debate is as your lining up Anti Sniper shots, it takes 3 to the head with the SKS. Plus the unique Raider Chassis Stock makes peaking corners and moving shots a breeze with the M14 EBR.

Been using DMR since the SMR in Black Ops 2, its so great to see the marksman rifle (semi-auto) get so much love, this year, usually we only get one. However I cant help but feel that the SKS is Just a better EBR in 95% of situations and that the FAL is a better SKS in 90% of of engagements!!!!

Personally the ammo thing is never an issue, cause as soon as you kill someone your almost guaranteed to get more ammo and it would be a long ass firefight to expend 40 shots. FAL was my first gold camo gun and my first warzone gun for a while but I prefer to run the sks and an AR/smg now. SKS can save you sometimes when your sniping and someone sneaks up

I am an SKS and EBR person. The Thicket, Muckraker etc. Although I do prefer the SKS (especially with the classy wooden stock and PU scope). Requires a bit of patience to get used to, it's a marksman rifle not a sniper. Although used with a mix of Grau, M4 & Kilo depending on class, and here you are all set. I'm sorry Ace, but it's not likely that I'll use FAL (even as a class from loadout) as a long range rifle. Battles are fought on 50+ metres. FAL is an assault rifle and as you said you'd prefer a marksman rifle. Close as I said Grau/M4/Kilo, farther out Grau/SKS. Sorry FAL, maybe you'll get a chance in the next update.

Honestly I've been using the M4 Socom Rounds and just been beaming people. Smaller mag holds it back and it dont have the 1 shot head shot up close like the FAL but I dunno, the Socom suits me better. I guess its partially Meta and Partially preference

The FAL before S4 was top 10 gun for me in WZ. Since S4 its been my top choice given most circumstances. Depending on circle and my squad i run it with hdr with a cronen or mp5/vector for my close range. My reason behind the SMG is so that if i run into multiple enemies i will switch over from one weapon to the other with out having to reload. 2 sec reload is to long when you have a squad or trio pushing you.

SKS is good for starters because of its handle and mag capacity EBR 14 is for player that like to fight mid to long range Also EBR's when headshot cause a lot of damage (if you can do it) So better you click "fire" button quickly for better shooting almost like AR and practise the accuracy when using it. I thought the EBR was king over the sks until I picked up the Fal. I'm addicted to this gun due to the fact of almost no recoil and its ability to quick follow up shots. It's unstoppable and best overall .
