Don't want to hate on an old video on a good channel, but I was fiddling with my Weebill S settings today after pretty much leaving them alone for a couple years and I discovered two main things that make it much more forgiving to use. The first is that smoothness should not be set at 200, but 50 instead--the numbers are misleading and my tests showed that 50 eases into starting and stopping the motors much better. The second is that the pan follow speed should be low--mine is set to 15 right now--which really helps to avoid jerky turns or orbits that I could never seem to avoid. Hope that helps someone else out there.
@zaldabusАй бұрын
For clarification, when you say a smoothness setting of 50 eases better, do you mean it’s more responsive and thus more suited to the needs of the type of shooting you’re trying to do?
@gottashoot657Ай бұрын
@@zaldabus Technically I'd say it's less responsive or rather less sensitive, so if you screw up with your hands, it can smooth that out. Basically it helps to cover up the mistakes of the person using it better.

I was about to be returning the gimbal too! I need some quick settings to test out tomorrow. Will try this. Any advice on balancing a very light camera (a6400) with a very heavy lens (24-70 Sigma 2.8). I have this lens for the weekend (cheaper rent) and really wanted to do some cool shots with it... But can't seem to figure out how to balance. Any advice will be massively appreciated

Awesome video for new gimbal users. Teaches crucial information other gimbal guides don't mention. We had some issues with very shaky footage, which was caused by the auto calibration that put the deadband values for the tilt and roll axes too low. If it weren't for you, we might've returned the gimbal thinking there was something wrong with it, thank you!

I only have jitter issues when the camera is not balanced in one axis or another. .. essential step .. with the gimbal off you should be able to point the camera in a random direction and it should hold its position.. if it swings down or to another direction .. it's not perfectly balanced.

I've been watching several videos from you, and the thing that i most appreciate, is the way you talk to the camera. So clear, slow for better comprehension but not thaaat slow. And the way you gesticulate. I'm from Mexico, and i understand english, but you help a lot cause you are sooooo clear on your explanations. Congrats for that. And of course, the info is so great! Thanks for this currently selling my Spark and all the gear I have for it to get this gimbal. Have a shoot coming, I'm working with a team on a short movie and I'm the only camera man lol. So I'm not using the spark and getting this. Thank you for the tips, used to have to play around alot with the Smooth 4 for the mobile to get it just where I liked it. I think the common issue is that people assume that gimbals just work out the box and boom cinema grade footage, it's a small piece in achieving that and still require a lot of skill to master. Keep up the good work, always like your content, always feels honest and always feels natural, nothing forced here for the sake of viewers entertainment. Have a great 2020
