4:43 Since you chose to upscale everything to 4k and not match resolution, your color settings will be whatever you select for 4K 23-30Hz. You will end up never having “non-4K”content (or at least that’s how it will perceive your content after upscaling), so you won’t be utilizing YUV 444 10bit on a 1080p movie. You would have to select “match framerate and resolution”.

I'm trying to use my optical out on my z20 pro to output 5.1 sound to my 5.1 Sony headphones. I have found that the downmixing to DTS or AC-3 sometimes works and sometimes I get no sound at all. What gives?

@Autonomous1969 Yes, it depends on the movie and audio format that it has. Just keep switching between downmixing and the others till it works.

@@fivelevels OK let me explain further. I'll be watching a movie in dolby atmos and the zidoo will output a 5.1 signal to my headphones perfectly. I stop the movie and go to bed. Next day I restart the movie and there would be no sound coming out of my headphones. Nothing changed. same settings same movie. It's like the downmixer is buggy.

If you are using an av receiver you should enable Volume Direct Mode so you aren't changing volume in two places.

@@fivelevels when did I say it was mandatory? I said you should enable it. Not even personal preference, there's no reason to be controlling the volume on the device and on the receiver. It just complicates things unnecessarily with two places where volume may be set.

Match framerate and resolution, isnt it better that zidoo detects resolution for example 1080p so tv it knows to upscale to 4k? Instead of using match framerate only?

Hi, no, what I meant is if you're going to use a USB audio device like a USB headset or DAC, or any other related USB audio devices. This setting has nothing to do with external HDD.

In case someone come to this : i bought it :) it is possible to play your blurays from HDD, i actually have it connected to PC to better see it, like space left and easier manage like a typical windows HDD and Zidoo playing from PC connected HDD via RJ45 fine (CPL) Full iso blurays no worries at all !! i put SMB share from windows which is simply right click share HDD then zidoo sees it, absolute easy stuff

@@oze-bikes4life663 especially when his answer is "if you know what you are doing". In reality it's offline only if you block network traffic. The device caches all of it's poster/metadata locally so it will work fine without an Internet connection. There's no special steps needed.

Hi, thank you for watching. I would pick the Z2000 PRO over the Z2600. Because the price difference is for the extra HDMI-in (NOT OUT) port in the Z2600, which very few people need.

To make sure I understand correctly, when the LLDV signal is activated on the content, is the video processor of the projector completely shut down? For example, on my Sony projector, would I still have the video processing result from the X1 Ultimate?

I wouldn't say it will completely shut down, but the tone mapping will be done on the source device, not on the projector.

I Think that if the TV is only 1080p usualy it can play only contents up to 8 bits or 10 bits (I'm not shure) and this way we should chose some option so the player read the original video in dolby vision and deliver it to the standard mode of the TV which for 1080p I think it's HDR@@fivelevels
