I ended up going back to visit the US and brought back a ton of snacks and souvenirs with me! I feel like there's such a huge variety of eye catching omiyage to bring back home with you so I list out some of the best souvenirs to get from the Tokyo area!
A lot of these items are sold in the ground or basement floor of the many department stores here in Tokyo, but probably the best one to go to would be the souvenir shops at Tokyo Station! Not only does Tokyo station have it's own street of souvenirs for people to shop at, but there's also the large Daimaru department store attached to it which also houses a lot of snack stands inside as well!

NY Perfect Cheese is fking BOMB. I was planning to go buy it when I go to Japan. Guess I gotta go early morning. How early would u go? 8am?

If you want to ensure getting some then I'd recommend going at 8am when they open. On the other hand I ended up passing by it on a Sunday at around noon and still saw a good amount of product and short line at the Ikebukuro location so it might just really depend on the location and day you go!
