Most of the materials used for the construction of the carcass have been chemically treated against termite since that is a huge problem in India. A wood like MFC is the least processed but its screw holding capacity and termite resistance is medium. Hence you might face some problems 5 to 6 years later.

@@rsarita79 glad you found this information useful. We cant comment on the brands because different ones are available in different states. As long as the thickness of the either the laminate or the acrylic sheet is 1mm thick you should be good.

Thank you so much for your support. If you compare a high-gloss acrylic to gloss laminate then acrylic is more scratch resistant. But a matt laminate is highly scratch resistant. Both of them are highly fire resistant.

You can visit our blog for more detailed information as well. Plus the price range depends a lot on different companies, the material the shutter is made of as well as the material of the boxes. Then some companies price it with hardware. Hence it is difficult to quote prices.
