I got L’homme ideal EDP such a pretty unique French fragrance. I’m not sure if my nose has changed or the fragrance itself from settling due to age. When I first got it it did not smell so beautiful & elegant as it does now. The opening was piercingly bitter which I was afraid of I do not care for the bitter almond fragrance. I believe that was just a combination of the almond, some of the spices. It took a few months but 1 day after not having sprayed it for over 3 months I did 1 spray on my wrist. The bitterness was nowhere to be found, the experience was completely different. It had somehow now transformed into almost exactly what my desires had fantasized it to be when first looking upon the notes. Soft, yet still alluring & powerful blasts of 🍒 sticky thick cherry with brisk of French Lavender surrounded by strong abundant spices. Going into the mid the spices from the top meet the incense in the mid & cast a Smokey Spicy cloud calmed by a subservient Vanilla with an ever so delicate barely detectable touch of rose 🌹 it all comes crashing down on a mash of Tonka Bean laying on a bed of luxurious thick cut fresh leather with flakes of sandalwood. Such a wonderful fragrance, people love to accuse the French of making fragrances that are excellent but too clean wispy & ethereal this is certainly not that, it is definitely a satisfyingly fulfilling work of art that is classy, clean & 1 of a kind. 💯

I do 3-4 sprays in the morning when I’m leaving for work and I can regularly get whiffs of it all day until the evening it loses some projection but is definitely there. I do workout after the work and just when you think that it’s mostly gone, it begins to radiate again while working out with sweat and increased body temperature. It lasts forever on clothes.

The Terre d'Hermés really surprised me when I tried it. I felt like it also helped my mood for the day. But a very interesting thing happened when I went food shopping and was in the aisle for dairy where it's colder. The cold environment almost reactivated the fragrance (or my nose) and it smelled even better after it was on me for about 10 hours. I know it is a hit or miss fragrance for some people but, once it hits the air, or the cold for me, it truly does something very interesting.
