I tried plum vitamin c.. Dried out my skin badly..started having flaky and bumpy skin.. Don't think a good idea to use in winters when automatically the skin starts drying..

As you recommended I am using Simple brand's facewash since 1 month for oily skin but didn't see any changes for acne or clean face. What would be the reason?

The facewash is not meant to target and diminish pimples. It's just to gently cleanse the skin without stripping it. Over time if u don't overdo it with the cleanser, there might be a decrease in oil production. But remember correlation is not causation. Some ppl just tend to over produce oil naturally regardless of gentle cleansing. Others notice a control in their oil production bcoz now their skin doesn't trigger sebum production once it feels less stripped.

In my case I noticed a stark difference in sebum regulation once I stopped washing my face twice and only did it once a day followed by a product that has niacinamide in it. But that might not the same case with you (although there is no harm in giving it a try). For acne you'll have to go a bit further than just a simple cleanser. Try things like retinoids, salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide.
