This makes me feel better. I have been struggling with tretinoin for almost two years and I was wondering why I couldn’t seem to get past the irritation. It’s way better than when I began but still an issue. Thanks for this video!

Oh my gosh, Ashley, if you want another excellent propolis product for irritation, you have to try Wishtrend's Polyphenols in Propolis Ampoule. It has more of a serum consistency but it works miracles whenever you've overexfoliated or have sensitized skin due to retinoids. Lovely video as usual 🤗

I needed this video & I only use Retinol!! Been looking red & irritated so I stopped using Retinol (have older sensitive skin & possibly some small skin cancers). Skin clearer now. However, your calming products appear better than my old moisturisers. Thank you for appearing 'real' not too many other Influencers mention side effects & show themselves !!

I do almost the same things as you do. I use the Tret for 3 days, then take 2 days off. By taking those 2 days off I find I get far less irritation and flaky skin. The CosRx Comfort Ceremide Cream is a true game changer for my skin. I find it works well as part of the evening routine. TO's amino acids + B5 is happy in my skin routine as well. ~ Paula

Hey! If you like the ordinary AA+b5 and the feeling of the propolis toner, you would probably like the TIAM vita B5 toner. It has the panthenol and humectants but also has peptides and ferments/antioxidants! And it’s got that more viscous texture like the propolis toner that really hugs in the hydration! As a fellow Canadian I love seeing your routines and know I can always find the products you use :p thanks for your videos!

@@SincerelyMissAsh Thank you! One quick question: can I use the cereve retinol cream you use on your neck to blend the RetinA onto my face you think? Or do I have to get that Obagi product to blend ..
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 3 жыл бұрын
@@catherinedesilets8960 I personally wouldn't only because Tretinoin is strong enough as it is on it's own so if you pair it up with a retinol this pairing could be harsh on the skin and could lead to further irritation/dryness. If you think your skin could handle the pairing then of course that would be up to you. You don't need the Obagi product to help spread the Tretinoin evenly. You could just use a moisturizer to do that but the reason I have the Obagi is because of the Alpha Arbutin ingredient in it which helps with hyperpigmentation but then of course I have the added effects of the spreadability of Tretinoin.

Interesting video! I use adapalene rather than tret and my skin gets this way too. I was relieved to hear that Dr. Dray says that we can still get the same benefits from these retinoids if we use them every other night. Same for the moisturizer sandwich method. So I do both of these things, and that helps so much with the side effects. I love the inkey list oatmeal cleansing balm, so I will try using it the way you suggested

Hi lovely Ash 🤗 fortunately for me I don’t experience severe irritation from my Tretinoin 0.05% prescription. But I do get the occasional pealing around mouth. I'm still a Retinol Baby! I've been using Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair for about 5 months and wanted to bump up the strength a bit and chose The Ordinary 5% in Squalene. After the second night of using it (I might've done two nights in a row, or might've skipped a night; not sure) I noticed my skin slightly flaking. A little extra pink in my cheeks. My cheeks are often pink, so I don't know if it's related. I wonder what you think about the slight flakiness and how to best move forward? Continue at every other day for awhile? Less? What do you think about using my Neutrogena on the "off days" of using The Ordinary? Generally speaking, I do not have sensitive skin. You are my go-to lady for skin info! Am getting a couple of these products you recommend in this video.

When I use Argireline in the morning I don't apply Vitamin C to my under eyes. The reason I said they can conflict is because this pairing can be irritating especially under the eyes and can impair the stability of the two ingredients.

Hi I have been using tretinion for 3 weeks the same one as you the only irritation I have is my eye lids drives me nuts it’s the only place I feel dry I use the same thing under my eyes as on top and it’s only the lids that are dry
@SincerelyMissAsh
@SincerelyMissAsh 2 жыл бұрын
Hmm... If you get too close to your eye area with tretinoin this can definitely happen. I have experienced this MANY times and I know exactly what you mean.. It's dry and flakey and not pretty to say the least lol!! Try to stay away from the under eyes. If you apply a moisturizer on top of Tretinoin and you are applying it to your under eyes and under brow bone you are actually spreading the Tretinoin around also which could lead to Tretinoin going to areas that we don't want. Vitamin C can also do this as well if you are applying it to the eye area...
