Best small scale Technic set of 2022 - 42132 Chopper A & B model detailed review

These 10€ technic sets have never disappointed me. They are really the higlights in the last years and also the last real technic sets (b-model, gears, functions). That little Claas was outstanding too

This set, along with the upcoming mini sized Telehandler, are such great value for the functions they do, even for the parts themselves (even though granted most are small). Although, even though I don't live in the US, $13 for this Motorbike is surprisingly more than the expected $10, which the Skid Steer Loader's from last year cost. Yes these small sets don't come close to the other sets in the range but they aren't trying to, yet still hold their own. Probably dare I say it more fun than some of the larger sets; they're nice little desk toys to wind down and have fun with to pass the time, without needing a ton of space to play and manoeuvre the set around.

That's exactly how I see them. Small Technic sets can be surprisingly fun to play with and the B-models serve as icing on the cake.

Great little set, especially if you want to introduce young kids to the mechanical side of Technic. Also a useful parts pack for MOC builders.

I can’t believe they have a mechanism in such a small set! I say this is the best 10-15 dollar/euro set for a young kid who is beginning to start lego technic. I wish other small technic sets were just like this one!

I find it funny that every year, the smallest sets have more interesting mechanisms than many of the EU100+ sets of the year. I am going to buy a second one as well... it really is much better than I expected for something so small!

Great details for a small set! I got to the end of the build and found the crankshaft was not turning freely, and the pieces driving the pistons were contacting the frame... Realised that I had not used the correct pass-through point... not it runs beautifully, and I feel silly. The surprisingly enjoyable part is that because of the mounting methods, I was able to remove the engine without dismantling the frame, essentially completing an engine removal/swap, which brought a bit of joy in my silly mistake!

I feel the same way about this set RB, it tick all the boxes, for $13 (and it will most likely go down to $12 or $11 in the future)! Really, a mini engine at this size and price is so good! I think the seat issue can be fixed with a couple of pins, maybe a half liftarm or two, and done! If the rest of the 2022 sets follow this trend, Technic fans rejoice!

i am either missing peices or the wrong ones were in the bag.the engine parts i have that move the pistons...touch the frame. the red pegs are too short and the grey pegs are too short. when i put the grey pegs in the elbow corner thing, there is not enough of the rod to connect the frame together. if i do that and put the grey parts on top with the grey circles, jsut none of it works.

I can't find anyone pointing it out but you made an error in the build. The exhaust pipe is supposed to be connected to the gray piece not the red one.

Wow I did not know about technic figures, they are super cool, lego should develop technic version of most popular mini figures like Batman.

They were retired a long time ago unfortunately. Using these figures would very much restrict the scale of the different Technic models.

It's on a tripod in front of me, nothing special. No it's not a comfortable position to build but that's the way to show things :)

@@tamerelrefaie3977 thanks, yeah showbusiness is not a walk in the park :D You can try to slightly change the position of the camera to one side, so it can be right next to you instead of blocking your view. But you'll need to focus more on the framing in this case as the camera won't "see" the same thing as you.

The only thing I hate about this set are the 2 yellow 5 module axles. They could have used grey ones like normal people. And I think it would be finally time to make small motorcycle tires. These flat car road tires are getting boring.
