How much sanding did you have to do, cuz my puzzle was so tight I couldn't get any pieces to move

No wonder I was stuck with finding the fourth piece to remove. Only the one middle piece moved and not the other. I had to use a tool to separate the piece to make it move. -_- This is the second time I've encountered this kind of wooden puzzle that was essentially defective from the start. Really annoying.

I have the same issue where only one C-shape "telephone" moves, but the how did they put it together in the first place?
