am guessing Micheal Jackson die/passed away in 2009 like 13 yrs ago? I’m guessing idk tho. And I do Chester Bennington did commit Suicide and die and passed away back in 2017 tho like 7 yrs ago tho. In I think June or July was the either those months he passed away in 2017! 7 yrs ago! But 7 yrs later Linkin park they finally returned back making new songs/a new album this yr. Since it’s 7 yrs ago since Chester did passed away tho. but yeah it been 7 yrs since they finally made a new album tho for this yr in 2024 tho. And again, I’m super happy linkin park is finally back. Really happy that the band finally came back for over 7 yrs ago or 7 yrs later tho. And they also finally have a new lead singer for LP which again I do support Emily Armstrong/Chester both of them. Cuz they do have an amazing voice or voices imo. Really do luv the new lead singer as of this yr in 2024. Best new lead singer ever! 😎

2001 was a very interesting year for music. 2000 was basically 1999 Pt. 2, but in 2001 you could definitely notice the transition from 90s to 2000s as the year progressed
@AlexA-bn2wb4 жыл бұрын
It was actually pretty much the same as 1999/2000
@bdjoh0114 жыл бұрын
@ _____ No, 2000 had not just a lot of ‘90s sounding music, but a lot of leftover songs from 1999 (especially at the beginning of the year). By the time the calendar flipped to 2001, all leftover ‘90s songs were gone from the charts and the transition to the 2000s was ready to begin. 2001 was when the ‘90s truly disappeared and the 2000s began. By 2002 most music sounded nothing like the ‘90s.
@missingwestcoast4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it was mainly the entrance of Post-Hardcore/Pop Punk/Nu Metal US rock music to the charts what makes the difference compared to previous years. It came in 1999 and stayed for most of the 2000s

@@bdjoh011 Well, you kinda got a point. 👍 The 90s really faded away around late 2001/early 2002. Pretty much around *9/11* (September 2001) and the introduction of the *EURO € currency* in most european countries (January 2002). Also don't forget that the majority of the 2001 released songs/singles were produced 1 ~ 2 years before the release. Sometimes songs were already part of an album released MONTHS before the actual single release.

Our favorite song in this year with my bro: Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood 😁 (& 99-2000) For my part: I was a real big J.Lo, Kylie, Blue, Gigi (like dad) Alizée and Sarah Connor fan. If only i could be that kid again. I loved that part of my childhood. (Altough not the school years - my classmates hurt & terrorized me a lot - that's why i hated school - Had no friends, i was just alone) Oh almost forget: Lasgo - Something were the song that i asked in the hungarian radio channel (Roxy Radio) by the wish program and i got it :) It was the song that when i heard, turned up the volume to the maximum!

When I look up the singers to see how they've aged since then, it hits the feels like nothing else can, it's kinda depressing. :p

in 2001 i turned 17. Yea, some songs bring back such sweet memories that turn bitter now. Why cannot grown ups just enjoy life more? Simple chat with friends, going on night rides, walking in the rain, throwing snowballs at each other, sharing a drink under the bridge or if you have kids now, why not doing all this stuff (instead of alcohol or cigarette, hot chocolate and a candy, perhaps?). All these memories turn bitter somehow. I wanna be a happier human.
