Keane was probably my fav act back in that year. Compared to the 80s I don't really like most of the 2000s music, but they were pretty good. Seems many were copying the Avril Lavigne formula too: Alanis Morissette and Ashlee Simpson singles are proof of that. Britney also had really great songs, some of the best on her career for sure, Toxic on top. Maroon 5 was also everywhere. I remember hearing most of these in the radio and MTV; except some of the Hip Hop ones. Funky House seemed to be the top Dance genre, although Electro House was slowly rising too.
