BEST SONY a6000 lens? VILTROX 33mm f1.4
Is this the best lens for the Sony a6000 or Sony ZV-E10?
It is not clickbait. There are certain circumstances where the Viltrox 33mm f1.4 lens is better than the Sigma 30mm f1.4
The Sigma lens is one of my favourite lenses to use if not, the favourite due to its fast wide open aperture and versatile focal length until I used this lens. It really gets me confused which lens I should be choosing to pair with my a6000 series cameras. It certainly has given the Sigma lens its run for the money and Viltrox have done an exceptional job in doing so.

One thing worth noting is that the viltrox is noticeably darker when at the same f stop from these sample shots. I could guess the lens comparisons easily based on that alone! Obviously I appreciate they're f stops and not t stops, but it's a difference worth pointing out!

Important thing to point out indeed. Viltrox is darker and has worse color rendition. However it has less barrel distortion than sigma and better design with the a-ring. SOme say AF is better on Sigma.

6:47 The Chromatic aberration made it easy to tell them apart. On another youtubers tests it was so obvious wide open in bright sunlight that I changed my mind, canceled my order for the Viltrox and decided on the Sigma. The Sigma also focuses closer and will have better resale value IF I decide to sell it. I am not hating on the Viltrox. I have 2 of their lenses already. But the green fringing was really bad from 1.4 - F2.8 in tests of the 33mm I saw.

Totally agree. I was not blown away by Viltrox, not when we look at the center of image with green and purple fringing. Who cares if the corners have CAs on Sigma or that Viltrox is sharper, if the fringing is so pronounced in the center of Viltrox and Sigma is also sharper in the center... Thanks to the reviewer for the test, but I don't think he is being fair, and I am deciding against Viltrox on this one

The distortion can be easily fixed in post. But the sigma is obviously sharper in the center from 1.4 IDK why you say the same.

I bought the 23mm Viltrox and very happy with it. I think their quality is good ... I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Viltrox, or Sigma

This is not a low budget lens , I don't know why people think the cost of a lens determines its value. A low budget lens can be that your 800 dollar lens that doesn't meet the value of its price. If a lens cost 249 Dollars but performs very well and has a value that is more than its cost , it is not a low budget lens

Tbh i care more about the center than the edges, and the sigma was WAY much sharper than the viltrox. Yes the viltrox has sharper corners but for portraits knowing they will be out of focus i couldnt care less

While I would prefer the Viltrox myself, I do have to note the very significant vignetting going on with the Viltrox while the Sigma seemed to have very little vignetting.

Bro, great video! I have a sigma of 30 mm, but sometimes I run into a problem - focus misses. Judging by the forums, it appears on f2.0 and 2.2 in AF-S focus mode. I'm thinking, is it worth changing sigma to Wiltrox or not?

Get a 50mm f1.8 for portraits --- it's 75mm equivilent and a nice focal length for portraits. Will get you by until you can get exactly the lens you want.
