BMW mufflers are well fed. I put a Spintech on the tail end of my track pipe on my S54 powered e36 and reduced weight by about 30 pounds. I am a fan of the rasp. For the price you got a total score!

Hey, do the old gasket rings have to go on the aftermarket exhaust as well. Got a status gruppe v1 for mine and going to try and do it myself. Lmk thanks

Yeah it sounds great!!! It seriously one of the best sounding ive heard. From what I've heard the round tips sounds a little different and some experience TQ loss

I could be wrong about the name but what is the carbon-fiber 'diffuser-like' stuff wrapping your mufflers' tips? Any links or name?

It's a carbon fiber diffuser from status group it is completely carbon fiber not vinyl wrap

@@maxliu1151 No, it's a CSL replica. I would not advise going with Status Gruppe though.

@@maxliu1151 They are known to make promises they can't keep. Basically what happens is someone orders something and they wait until a certain number of people order that thing to make a purchase and save money. This can jack waiting times up to a year. One or two times is forgivable but it was with almost ever order at one point. On top of that, they weren't issuing refunds when people didn't want to wait a year. Their carbon fiber stuff has consistently been subpar. Sadly M3forum went down and alot of Mike, the owner, fighting with customers openly in forums was lost. I would look somewhere else because they really screwed their reputation up. People clearly got their things but why waste time when there are other companies without that reputation doing the same thing, and there's a good chance it'll be quicker.

i know im probably impartial but in my opinion the ONLY thing that makes the e46 m3 exhausts sound good is the changing out of the Stock oem headers, these are what make is sound like crap. Case in point , listen in the link below, i have status gruppe catless headers, dual resonated section 1, status gruppe resonated x-pipe, and finally status gruppe SCZA section 3 muffler - BEST SOUNDING EVER! kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3XRdqylqpZ_pqs
