I started running in 2020, very sparsely. But I was tracking my runs with my phone and strava. Then I got tired of carrying my phone so I ditched it for a Garmin 245. Boy was that a game changer. So much more information with a lighter carry. I started picking my running backup at the beginning of 2022 and the watch is indispensable.

Happy New Year Mark. My fave sub on youtube, keep the great vids coming. Very similar training as myself, but no swimming for me and I'm slightly slower - pushing the above average goals though. Already had the headphones, bought the Fenix 6 on the back of your recommendation and now just ordered the Powerdot 2 Duo. About time you had some sponsors, the content is on point every time. Here's to a top years, injury free training & competing (and donut eating)

I guess I need the Power Dot, I've got the other two. Nothing like doing a hard run, listening to Slayer and actually having the watch tell you how much faster you are getting as your heart rate amps up to the music!! Totally agree about the scare factor with others being plugged in, I'm a bit smaller than you but at 6'3" and 190 lbs even I can get a jump out of people!

Currently lifting in my garage with a dusty grandstand sitting in a box next to me :) Love my 6x too, I highly recommend pairing it with the garmin tri heart rate monitor for even more accurate info. I’ve missed the past few videos but am about to catch up, apologies if this has been addressed before but are you going to be giving any updates on swimming training? I realise the lack of it might be because of lockdowns etc. I’d love to do an Ironman one day but I think like many, swimming is going to be by far my worst event! Happy new year Mark, cheers

Hi Mark, early last year I purchased an Honor Magic Watch 2 as a cheaper option to see if it would be useful. After the watch displayed a warning that 260 bpm was "high" and the fact that I can't connect it to Zwift, I'm now looking at the Garmin Fenix 6. Do you use it to connect to Zwift and how have you found the accuracy of the HRM? Enjoying the channel.

Nice video, suppose you had to do this so Jenna would think all the money you spent on gadgets is worth it. I have the aftershockz for swimming (which I think my research brought me to your channel ages ago), I love them for long rides on the bike and swimming where I don't need to think about battery power. Hope you get sponsorships out of these, then don't forget about a give away :D

I have a cheap smart watch that keeps playing up while running, ie stops recording the run I'm doing and I'll lose a minute or two until I look at it again and restart , infuriating when trying to keep a record so I know how well I'm progressing ie HR , distance,. Plus battery life is poor and often decides to not be able to work . I'm looking into a Garmin watch as one of my friends who runs a lot (does Parkrun, runs alone longer distances, has done a marathon, ) uses it but looking at the cost

Hi Mark I'm in the market for a new EMS after my old compex has been relegated to the bin! I've just put an order in for the Powerdot. I've had my eye on one for awhile, but couldn't justify since the old Compex was still in service. When you use potentiation/warm up before a race, etc. How do you do that? One leg at time or both legs and specific groupings quads, Hammy's, calf's etc? I'm not sure how long the warmup is, if it's 5 mins it's not much of an issue. Cheers bud 👍
