I was also a gym instructor who took a team to the indoor rowing championships at Bracknell leisure centre circa 1993 and met Sir Steve who was handing out the prizes. Didn’t run him over in the car park though… 😂

Nice one, a olympic titan‼️ Love the bit at the absolute beginning, to settle Steve in, about how you nearly maimed him in your Capri. Comedy gold as usual.💪

A 1:08 400m isn’t unthinkable. The fact he can do that though for 26.2 miles is unfathomable

After around 3 months the face detached from the case. Apple store could not repair - i fixed it myself. A few months later I dropped my apple watch onto the kitchen counter, around 40cm drop and the screen smashed. I got it repaired (very expensive). A few months later I dropped it again and screen smashed. I have never broken any other watch. I’ll stick to my Garmin.

Thank you for interviewing Steve! Rowing is such a magnificent sport and it is great to acknowledge what this man achieved! If you want to try rowing don’t go near the Concept 2, join a club and get out on the water!!

Hi Mark - A Bit random 8 days after you posted this but I just saw that Lance Armstrong did his first ever Hyrox and it knacked him - You're the only other person I've ever heard from that did Hyrox so I'm a simpleton and thought you might be interested.
@MarkLewisfitness10 сағат бұрын
It’s an interesting one. I can no longer do Hyrox since they introduced a ban based on WADA rules for every entrant- my TRT means I can’t race. Yet Lance has a lifetime ban and Hyrox are welcoming him.

Damn Mark! Amazing getting the legend that is Sir Steve Redgrave on. Great interview. Actually quite surprised Steve doesn’t row just for fitness but then he did it for so many years and has other hobbies now.

There's nothing worse than that feeling of not wanting to get out of bed. Thanks to people like you Mark and Sir Steve talking about it, hopefully many other men will feel able to reach out and get the help they need before it's too late.

Sir Steve is one of our greatest Olympians. His achievements are amazing. I beat him at Wycombe Rye Parkrun. Not boasting or anything, but I beat him at something. Please not that Parkrun is a run, not a race. But I did beat him that one day.

Hey Mark, did you have the Dolphin Lundgren workout video on VHS? it was great with some surprisingly visionary advice on diet and stress. Quentin Tarantino is in the credits…apparently his job was to pick up dogshit in the carpark… You can find all the exercises on KZbin.

Jeepers. You have seen inside my head - I was wearing my AWU, I think the sandwich I was munching had avocado 🥑 and I did briefly think about coding while sipping my cafe latte ☕️ Hankering for a Fenix 7 is in full swing to feel more practical in general - but yeah there is definitely a general vibe for AWU which is that is it both “good”, limited-unpractical, and 100% a geek-status item. I know as that’s how I view myself before and after you’ve seen inside my world 🌎
