i agree with all that you said. To me there is too many people who think they "own" Star Wars, because they're Fans for like 20 years. Okay, so wtf? I am Fan since 1983 and I truly enjoy all the new stuff. I must not like everything, but to me it is like reading a new book, everytime some new stuff comes out. And hell, it's not the Bible!!!! Plus... there is a lot of wannabe Fans who run a KZbin channel and do some reactions. Especially here in Germany, there is too many of them who are generally negative (I guess that's the german genes ^^). Same, I subscribed after watching that rant too. I feel for the guy. The haters are so hyperbolic. I've been making good use of the "do not recommend this channel" option lately. The rage-baiters don't even care if a show is good or not, they decide to sh*t on these shows months (or even YEARS) before the first episode ever airs and confirmation bias does the rest. Being negative is their whole brand. We even saw it with the recent (and objectively well-crafted) "Fallout" show. Their insistence on trashing everything, screaming "woke garbage", "this destroys XYZ francise", "WAAH they didn't make the show **I** would've made", so on and so forth blinds them to something as simple as an interesting story... It's just sad, man.

I believe the director of the show, Heslie mentioned that particular scene will have multiple view points and we, the audience have to figure out which one is the truth. Sorta like what they did with how Luke betrayed Ben in The Last Jedi. This episode showed us Osha’s perspective, so I assume we are going to get other perspectives of that scene like from Mae or maybe one of the Jedi’s perspective. Because some people don’t know this, but some tv spots that were released before the show came out showed us glimpses of the Jedi fighting each other in Brendok, specifically Kelnacca, the wookie Jedi attacking Sol and young Torbin. Not sure when episodes we’ll see this tho, we’ll just have to wait. Although, I feel like the Jedi weren’t the only ones involved in the massacre of Mother Aniseya’s coven.

I am LOVING this show (this episode as soon as it was over i actually said, "Wow now that was a good episode."). I have zero understanding of the hate this show is getting other than random KZbinrs who just all they do is they create this toxic environment for clicks. i just find it sad. Speak your truths dude, i know you aren't going to love everything i love, same as i won't love everything you guys love but thats why i enjoy your reactions. Keep up the good work! As for the episode, i felt this really showed a good perspective i never got with Star Wars before. of this feeling of like wow i really don't trust the Jedi at all. We always have this automatic Jedi good and everything else bad from almost everything and this is the first time that you can really look back and go ummmmm, yeah i don't agree at all with what the jedi are doing here. And i also love that it was a flashback episode that still left holes in the mystery of what happened. And really sneaky where you barly see Tobin's scarred face at the end but in a blurry background. Also seriously Lee Jung-jae is killing it as Sol,(dude learned english for this role!!!)

Well if you remember before the Jedi became and before even this the original sect was light and dark and there was two planets one dark one light . Due to your very short reaction, I‘m not sure if you realized, but Tobin‘s face/eye at the end was roughed up, matching his scars in the previous episode! So I‘m not sure if the witches committed mass suicide like a cult; the Jedi killed them or a third party was involved, but some serious sh*t must have happened to mess with the Jedi‘s conscience and feeling of guilt even almost 2 decades later! And what’s also very interesting, the witches‘ corpses had no signs having been killed by weapons like lightsabers…

I won't say that the Acolyte is the best tv I've ever seen and I did question in the last episode why the Jedi who was telling his students not to trust their eyes was suddenly distracted by having his target whip up a dust storm that blinded him so she could get away. That being said I am quite enjoying the show. Some of the negative reactions I've seen remind me a lot of how some of the book readers reacted to the TV adaptation of the Wheel of Time series. Its not quite how they pictured something so they can't see the positives and enjoy it for what it is. For those who say its terrible it seems to be there is a simple solution. Don't watch it. I think the actress who plays the twins is really good as is the actor playing the Jedi Sol. He comes across as genuinely caring and compassionate the way a Jedi should be as opposed to some of the more 'follow the rules' types. Given that Osha left the Jedi I wonder how much of her wanting to be a Jedi was in fact she didn't want to be a witch. As for the fire I have the feeling there is more to it that we have not been shown. They may not be Jedi/Sith but the witches clearly have abilities and it seems odd that a fire or falling debris would kill them. Even if that is what happened why do some of the Jedi clearly feel guilt over what happened to the point of willingly take poison.

Honestly I wonder if the Sith sought them out because they thought Mae and Osha were the Chosen Ones, then killed the coven to get to them and framed the Jedi for it. Osha left with the Jedi but they picked up and trained Mae. I also disagree that this makes Anakin “less special”, cause we only have Mother Aniseya’s word that they have no father. And yeah I guessed as soon as episode 1 that Mae and Osha weren’t raised in a good environment with the whole “always one, but born as two” chant. That is a really toxic way to raise a pair of twins, no wonder Mae got possessive and Osha ran for it.

For me Andor is the standard for a well thought out and unified season. The weakest parts of this series are the dialogue and the plotting. I’m less concerned about issues of canon. But burning stone with fire when you actually have a volcano below makes little sense and makes it hard to suspend disbelief. Mae should have triggered an eruption with her control of the thread. We at least have limited exposure to her impatience and cruelty, but her being immediately homicidal should be built up a bit more. They also missed an opportunity to paint a better picture of the mothers and wasted the opportunity with the actress who could have carried it off. Lots of potential here though with the thread model of the force.

The Acolyte is the worst series ever. Just bad series.. bad acting. Bad storie. Horrible. It's sad how Disney hates Star Wars. This series was not made for it's main fan Base, Men. My guess Disney wants do go broke to make WOKE people happy.

Matthew, I honestly loved you guys throughout your whole reactions, you both seemed honest. But right now I just try to guess how much Disney is paying your channel just to say good things about this show.
