This was a fair judgement at the time even if it isn't now. I personally don't have a problem with diverse characters as long as the plot is good and the story isn't trash, it's just that I and many others have lost the faith that we had in Disney because of all the terrible movies/shows they've made the past 5 or so years.

Finally! someone who knows some esoteric history! Black Witchcraft used Heterosexual sex to release the power of creation (prana & Kundalini) and it energized them and made their spells possible. Human sacrifice and abortion would do the same thing, the blood letting released energy to use and pleased the Evil One. They sold their souls for power. It was the darkest of all magics. So who is this show for ... witches? the alphabet crowd? Women who want control and power at any price? White Witchcraft existed and counteracted the Dark witches. White Witchcraft were chiefly herbalists, Healers, removed curses, spiritual advisors who prayed over their patients. They were the doctors long before there was a medical profession or in small villages were there were no doctors. Hollywood thinks it's clever, it doesn't even do it's research.

They aren’t at any point in production ever labelled as comic book movies, Disney hires people to work on these shows that know nothing about Marvel or Star Wars intentionally. Where I live, in deep red Southwest, homosexuality is perceived as a negative thing. People generally don't like it, wish to avoid it and ruthlessly mock it. @BowlCrossy3 ай бұрын
Most of the population is in urban centres though, so if the issue was purely down to the public's perception of homosexuality, then the majority of the population would likely support the show. That isn't happening... because people of whatever persuasion aren't interested in niche characters and poorly written stories redolent with social programming. Not many people are going to pay money to be inflicted with someone else's politics. Based on what? What indicators did you have going into this show's launch that it would ANYTHING different from standard fare of mostly mediocre shows?
@GideonRavenor712Ай бұрын
@@ayanellezooman685 I can explain why with one Big One: Nonsensical writing for a main. I've yet to see anyone justify to me why we should care about Agatha as the lead, especially if anyone watched Wandavision, but even by the end of this series where we're shown she just tricked and killed tons of Witches for power. The show cared so little about where they left her off in Wandavision that they entirely made up the first episode's premise as a police detective parody that was NEVER the character of Agnes. Oh sure, they put her in Westview and have her mind trapped in the beginning, but that wasn't who Agnes was in Wandavision. And then when we get into the series proper, for every problem with the writing from the early episodes that is fixed in the later episodes, they make a bigger hole with her by the end. We're given no firm motivation of why Agatha continued to seek power after Nick's death (A big deal because this informs all of her actions Wandavision onward). We can guess at a couple, such as bringing Nick back or cheating Death, but if EITHER of those were her motivations (To me the first one makes the most sense as to why she tries to steal Wanda's power in Wandavision after she sees what it can do) then how does this explain the ending? She blows multiple chances to get rid of Billy and one big one to take his powers which they showed she knew were exactly the same as his mother's. Why? "Oh Billy reminded her of her son" She knows with the power Billy and Wanda had, she can remake her son, she could bend reality in any way she desires. Why settle for less when as far as she knows, she can get exactly what she wants? (Again, assuming that's what she wants, but why else would she have constantly sought power and simultaneously clung to her son's memory?) Her saying she can't face Nick in death made no sense as well. Nick was shown to be perfectly aware and fine with what his mother was doing, and directly helped her. As far as is shown, she just ran out of time. Why does she feel guilty? That she failed? She had her chance to succeed right in front of her and had no reason to change her mind! Was she lying to Billy there for some bigger scheme later? Nothing. It's all guesswork, and the most likely guesses make no sense with her actions in the series. So in the end we have no firm explanation for why she did all she did (Pretty big deal, considering her tally over what, several centuries?), and no real compelling motivation for why we should be following her in the series.

Except the "eat the rich" messaging mixed in, or the Latino street thug needing a Cosa Nostra relic to introduce him to the life of organized crime. Otherwise, it was a good first episode! Maybe it won't even shit the bed before the end.

The Acolyte and Agatha both seem to have a disturbing fixation on involuntary mind control with horrific psychological effects, including the citizens of a whole town wanting the sweet release of death, a Jedi actually going that route to atone for being mind-graped, and now a series about the hilarity than ensues from supernatural coercion, desperation, madness and death. YAASSSS. YAASSS!!!

$10 says that Rio Vidal is a gender-swapped Blackheart from the comics, Mephisto's son. A mash-up with Mephista, which is a stupid name, & Blackheart fits nicely with a female antagonist. I'll allow it lol

Lmao this aged terribly because the show is actually amazing. It took a bit in the beginning, but it's held together very well and stuck the landing perfectly with the last 2 episodes. Seethe.

No you're just a clown. This show was trash. The first few episodes had me, it was actually pretty interesting until they started down the witches road and it just felt like a Scooby-Doo plot at that point where they just had to go do the same thing over and over again every ep. The episode where the old psychic was traveling through all of her previous consciousness was good But then the ending messed it all up. She dies for nothing basically, The whole part about Agatha trying to trick them into attacking her Make zero sense because she had already told the older psychic that secret to her power was to be attacked. The blatant pushing of of a gay agenda was horrendous. Like really you get a group of seven people together in five out of the seven are homosexuals that's literally not possible. I don't have a problem with gay people in my films or shows but when it's this obviously forced down your throat it's kind of hilarious it literally takes you out of the show.

- makes expensive show - proceeds to market show in a terrible way - show looses interest with pretty much everyone - swaps marketing to target tiny percent of the population (most of whom don’t watch their stuff) - show fails, women most effected - blame men because they’re evil - continue to say Marvel isn’t for straight white men anymore - show gets cancelled or forgotten and no one cares - potential small campaign of activists and shills try to defend the show/movie which fails and leaves more people laughing at them. - repeat until the joyous day Disney looses all their money.

I’d say they are loosing money but the right people haven’t lost anything. I doubt Bob has taken a pay cut to compensate for the loss in revenue.
