Well I guess I'm in the minority when it comes to Useful Mess Halls. I like it so there's that. I have a large crew and I have to say it is amazing to see your crew members show up when you activate the intercom. With that said it does have limitations that perhaps isn't worth being a paid mod. The biggest issue is it will won't summon your entire crew every time. The number that actually respond varies. But when it works and a large number respond and sit down it is amazing. And then to see them start eating either food or drinking from a cup is fun. But again it doesn't work like this all the time. You will see some crew sit down and a food item will appear, some sit down and nothing, some just come stand around and then leave. So with all this considered I can't recommend buying this until the inconsistencies are fixed. Again I'm a big fan of the intent of this mod. But now after using it quite a bit it doesn't deliver what it should being a paid mod. If it was free you could overlook the variability but not for a paid mod. I suggest bookmarking it to see if he gets his mod working correctly 100%. This differs from a previous post on this mod after using it quite a bit. I do hope he fixes the mod and sends out an update.

Dis you get the patch for this mod that adds the mess hall tables to the builder? Do you know what that patch does? Im glad you lov it. I have been testing it for a month. I was so hoping it would deliver something of value but good to know I understand it correctly. If it gets those fixes and a improved description that clearly states its features i might endorse it again. Until then its a scam for me.

@@SiNKiLLeR_ That patch if I recall correctly makes it so you are not limited to JUST mess halls, it will work for All in One habs and Living Quarts as well.

I like the mod. I wish it wasn't paid as it doesn't always work for me. However, I have been waiting for a mod that makes them useful for a while so I guess I can't complain.

I also enjoy the additional functionality of the mess halls provided by this mod, the RP is nice as most appear as if they are eating and you get a buff from sitting down with your crew. It's also 100 credits not 300 credits. Maybe you have something clashing with this mod? As I get all my crew (8) sitting down to eat. The mod author also did Useful Brigs which I think is a must if your roleplaying as a bounty hunter.

Okay, just another mod idea here for any modders that might be reading this. Space station commerce center. Basically a cross or whatever shaped station with stores up and down the wings. Terrabrew, Chunks, medical center, Enhance etc etc the works. Maybe in the Olympus system as it’s a good crossroads system that leads to everywhere in the UC and FC and also Narion and Porrima in one or two jumps depending on your grav drive. Not sure how easy that would be to build but a shopping mall in space would be great. Thanks.

Welcome back! Appreciate the videos as always. I will mention i got some use out of the useful mess hall. For me it appear to work better on smaller ships. I have a post on reddit day one use this and I had 2 tables fully filled with people sitting, eating, and or drinking. You also get an small exp buff for doing this, so it is good to have a meal before heading to battle. When I did upgrade my ship to something bigger. ( 3 floors with 2 2x2 and a 2x1 hab on each) i only get around 4 or 5 people on average to come. Maybe there is a call distance limit? But there are people who are in the mess hall that won't sit and eat when called something I don't know. Yeah, there is a script that I recall that when you board your ship, sometimes the chef will prepare a meal for you and having it waiting on the table for collection. This is pretty cool if you are using mods where you need to eat/drink periodically. It's nice to go out and bounty hunt and come to a meal. This mod for sure is more for immersion than anything, but it can be a better experience if you combo this with some other mods.

If its not that then its a mod that sells a ship at new Atlantis as its the only custom ship I can purchase. I'll track that mod down and remove it. @@SiNKiLLeR_ To be honest I assumed the same thing for a long while but then I Made my first Ship Mod and it wouldn't show up in the game thought I messed up my Mod but I went back and read the full description of Ship Vendor framework that's when I realized My mistake was that I had it placed at the top of my load order and not the bottom I've never had a single problem with Adding Ships to my game ever since I have like 6 active ship mods and at least 2 of them sell there ship at the same technician with no issues! My money is on the load order being your problem Bro

The universal weapon damage mod is really useful because in my experience at high level a lot of the weapons you find are essentially useless due to low damage output; being able to modify the damage helps. Ironically I somehow got hold of a gun that had insane damage (it had like 20,000 damage or something) and it could one-shot anything; so overpowered that it wasn't fun to use - even this mod couldn't help with that since I think the most it can decrease damage is by 300; so I just ended up selling off that weapon for a measly 200 credits. The Giga Gun is a total blast to use when taking on Terrormorphs - I used the universal damage mod to up it's damage output a bit.

Cosmic diner reminds me of Spaceballs....just don't order the special, I've found some of the paid mods are a tad disappointing especially when there are far better free mods & a perfect example being the Project warfare & now with a add-on which looks beautiful, great video as always.

Welcome back from your brief Starfield hiatus SiNN. We were anxiously awaiting your next mod reviews chapter! Could you please follow up on a couple of mods which you reviewed previously that were only available for PC: Outposts Anywhere and Legion as Vasco? I have been awaiting those mods for the console with great anticipation with negative results. Could you kindly prod the creators of those two specific mods with your considerable clout and influence - after all your reviews are great favorable advertising for their mods, to hurry up a bit and release those two mods for the XBOX consoles. I would gladly pay for those two mods if necessary! Thank you for your unique style and take on reviews of new mods for this great game, keep them coming!

Thanks for your support. I don't have any sway at all unfortunately but best thing people can do is ask nicely on nexus if they are willing to port it. Thats what I try to do. Some are more then happy to, others will ignore you. I like to bring pc mods up in the hope people do ask about the mods on nexus as thats about all I can do.

Okay, as someone who bought the pre-release edition last year and haven’t touched it since November of 2023 because the mods were just too new to really get into at the time (that and things were still clunky, MO2 was still trying to wiggle in stable versions for support, etc) … would you all say it’s much better now and worth hopping back into? Because when I mod, I like to go all in. FNV, FO3, and FO4 had me spending ungodly amount of time downloading and sorting mods along with doing some of my own. Last I was fiddling with Starfield was when they were still trying to get textures extracted fully, so have the tools gotten better as a whole?

@@TwoBs id say its all much better. At the moment I'm throwing in mods and not even looking at the load order and for the most part its been insanely stable now. But I avoid all the rookie mistakes when using mods so that might help.

Great list! Glad to see you back! Question for anyone who’s used Universal Weapon Damage. Have you noticed massive frame rate drops when entering menus, whether it’s the player inventory menu, ship menus, or the pause menu? I’ve been getting random bouts of massive frame rate drops since upgrading some weapons. Wasn’t the case when I had the mod enabled but hadn’t actually used it on weapons yet. In most instances, going back into the inventory menu and fiddling around a bit resolves the issue once I exit the menu, but the problem triggers again randomly when going into a menu again. I’m on PC, and I assume it’s some mod conflict and will do some cleaning up. But just wanted to see if this mod itself is causing issues for others as well.

The orbital shuttle might be the only one worth any money, pretty much all of them that cost money are absolutely not worth the money, honestly shouldn’t even be allowed to charge for those.

With so many payable mods now there should be a more in depth explanation and related comments. For example, I bought Rabbits landing bay lights (200 credits). It looks really good but my ship is out of place on the pad, being too far forward. Had others had the same problem I would have reconsidered the purchase. May also make creators a bit more in touch with their intended customers.

Mess halls is just suppose to bring everyone together to eat. Not worth 300 imo. Weapon damage mod I'm going to try today. Might be a game changer for the paid weapon mods that the damage is way underwhelming for the level I play on. As always thanks for your videos bro! 😊

I really like Shattered Space, but two personal things I wish they did was actually let you fully become Va’ruun and assault the Settled systems with the warp soldiers and WHY THE FREAK CANT YOU GET REDEEMED ARMOR or undergo whatever they did to become that way?
