When compared in the context of a flat paper comparison, yes it is. However, depending on what resources are available to you a coalmine would be a better option. Example: As opposed to a coalmine a charcoal burner also needs someone to gather and continuously supply it with the wood it consumes. Therefore in the early game when you have a limited amount of free hands available and where wood is a lot more important compared to mid to late game, a coal mine would be a better alternative.

You should! I thought I wouldn't like it at first, but I was hooked when I started and saw how deep the game is. Do you like Civilization?

@@basebard I generally am not that big of a gamer. I mostly watch let's plays. The closest game which I played for a few hours is "Life is Feudal: Forest Village".

I was pretty sure it's not affected by the biome it's placed in. I don't remember the source for that off the top of my head though
