You want to start near a river too. Get pottery early for the "Homebrew" upgrade card; it provides a nice science bonus.The other good part of starting by a river is you can place a trade port rather than a trade post because the port has a higher trade volume. I also highly recommend upgrading Town Hall to leve2 right off. Biome bonuses are determined by the ground the Town Hall is placed on, not the biome it is built in. You can get different a different biome bonus than the biome it is built in with careful Town Hall placement. Make sure to cut down non-fruit trees only. When placing a fruit gatherer you want to look at the tree count, the higher the number, the higher the productivity.

New player here, I'm on my second try and just reached 150pop by year 12. My first two playthroughs were completely blind and on hard difficulty, but that's how I like to play games, making mistakes and learning as I go I'm thinking about a 3rd start one of these days, so I decided to look up some tips and tricks, and I have to say, I'm surprised your videos and subscribers aren't in the thousands! Seriously! I've only realized how small the numbers under your videos were after watching 40minutes of your content! 10/10 videos, great explanations, clear to understand and very very helpful! You really deserve to be at 50k instead of just 50, have a sub, have a like, and don't give up! You've got potential

Fishing lodges for.Norse are great with the starting game 50% prod boost, plus the thing I think you over look with fishing lodge is that they don't take up much flat land

How do you harvest cannabis. Have access to a building but doesn't do anything

You put down the building wherever you want it to be, tho the land must be fertile enough, and then create fields within the radius, change your crop type to cannabis.

I haven't played around much with the late game. I know that your main enemy is sprawl. It is important to keep your city as compact as possible because as you grow, your citizens will have to walk further and further for things. Make sure you have coal and food production in multiple places across your city.

Hello... I was wondering how to get good amt of science points late game? M already using library and school for science but not enough... How good is research lab work? How do they work?

I haven't done a deep dive into the late game so I am not sure. Pottery and the Home Brew card is really good, and make sure you are trying to get all of your houses leveled up as much as you can. Those are the main ways to maximize science. I assume the research lab is good to add on to that.

@@zaethosgames8671 I found out that the science produced in RESERCH lab r not shown in left side but are directly added to tech tree or upgrade tree. Which kind of hides amt of science points effectively produced . Is it right?

M having 3 charcoal burner(max) and one coal mine but still m having atmost 50 coals only (with 250 pop). I have good wood stock too. Should I just import it? And wt does ancient ruins do?

Charcoal burners are more efficient than coal mines so I would just build more of them until you have enough coal. Ancient ruins make your hotels better, but I haven't really played around with hotels so I don't exactly know how they work.

Would you explain about how Forester and Medicine works in this game? In my playthrough, wood and medicine are always a problem.

Foresters plant, and cut trees giving you sustainable wood production. However, I don't find them to be that useful and tend to clear cut forests or use the buy wood card to get wood. The best way to get medicine early game is to farm medicinal herbs. Eventually you can move on to producing medicine later in the game.

These games are always afraid of putting kids to work, kids worked back then, analphabets were plenty. But then again, it´s just one of many things games don´t do. I know, I know .... it´s just a game :)
