It’s so fascinating seeing the reverence the Japanese have for the fine art of writing and the amount of personalization that goes into something most Americans eschew - postcards. Thanks for taking us on your journey to Loft - I’d love to behold the planner section!

That was a wonderfully nostalgic video for me... I used to have a lot of meetings in Nihonbashi and there was a LOFT branch in one of the large buildings next door. It was a place I used to go to, partly to browse their interesting stationery and travel/hiking goodies (I bought my wife a small stylish backpack there which she loved) and partly just to relax from long business meetings, or find a cup of coffee in one of the many outlets in that building. There was always some irresistible notebook or similar to buy at LOFT. Japan is a paradise for pen and paper lovers and you are very lucky to have those wonderful shops all around you! Please do more videos of these fascinating shops...!

You'll need to go to Tokyu Hands too! I'll be doing a video on that in a few weeks! Thanks!

I think that LOFT would be the first place I would visit if I ever get the chance to go to Japan. Although I might spend all my money there and not get to visit all the other amazing places. Thanks for the tour of the store and the park.

Wasn't able to make it to Loft when I was in Tokyo. We're planning to come back and I'll definitely check it out. Tokyo is a pen and stationery enthusiasts ideal vacation spot!

It really is! You definitely need to go there or Tokyu Hands. I'll do a video on that in a few weeks!

I know we should be grateful for what we have... and I am, really, most of the time. But trips into Japanese stationery stores is a real test. What you describe as a "small" pen and ink display in Loft makes me green with envy. And the variety of other stationery items, ah! (Some so mysterious, too, thanks for explaining them : )

I hear you! It really is nice living near these stores, and I am thankful. And some of the stationery is pretty clever!
