MechWarrior Online is a free-to-play vehicular combat video game, officially launched during September 2013 by Piranha Games for Microsoft Windows. The game takes place within the larger #BattleTech universe. In MechWarrior: Online, players takes the role of a ""MechWarrior"" who pilots large bipedal combat vehicles known as BattleMechs (Mech for short). Players can customize their BattleMech with an array of weapons and equipment, and engage in 12 versus 12 battles, the outcome of which earns the players experience and c-bills for future BattleMech purchases and customization. There are currently seven game modes that involve protecting and attacking a single base (Assault), capturing and holding several points (Conquest), take and hold the center of the map (Domination), attacking a space defense system (Siege/Counter-Attack), protecting and attacking field bases with turrets and walls spread across the map (Incursion), and team death-match (Skirmish)."

The Solaris pack is worth it to me simply because it has the Kraken, the Legend Killer and the Revenant. The Revenant is a fantastic ATM boat. I run it with an ATM27 build. The Legend Killer in an LB10 build taking advantage of its quirks can be a nasty mid-end game murder machine. And the Kraken is great when you want to just wade in and kill 4 fresh 'mechs in 30 seconds before exploding.

@@arzanpatel It's got +10% cooldown, -10% heat, +10% range, and -40% crit hit receiving to go along with big armor quirks. You can wade into a large group of 'mechs and still take a few down before you go. Because as an Assault player, you'll regularly be left to die to the rotation in higher tiers or have your teammates run away at the first sign of enemy contact in the lower tiers. I run it with armor maxed out, MRM40/AC20/Snub PPC, which depending on your skill tree gives you a reliable 75 damage alpha strike every 3.5 seconds. Twist and shoot since your arms are fully armored and not carrying anything vital and you'll have fun.

As TTB noticed in the video, the Scaleshot is currently available for MC AND its on sale. You can get any legend you want and get enough MC from its battlepass to get the Scaleshot ; ) (Though I believe you wont get its minipass if you buy it for MC)

Seems good time to buy the Scaleshot, it’s massive So8 quirk for SRMs really attracts me. I could not handle it well because of thin armor and over mobility though

It’s a savage. 4xsrm6+2xsrm4 (or vice versa if you want less heat) becomes a serious one two punch. Some mechs can be killed “instantly” if you get close enough behind them. And the default flight without quirks is already great.
