Hey everyone! The Django series is coming along. I plan on having it released by the end of this month (August). In the meantime, I will continue trying to put out weekly videos until that series is complete. Hope everyone finds this video helpful!

To spawn multiple cursors you can also use CTRL + ALT + UP or DOWN arrows.

Corey, all of your videos are great! Thank you for taking the time to share your expertise and for explaining it all so clearly and succinctly.

Very useful video! I always wondered what type of sorcery the online python instructors employed when they do all these nifty shortcuts so I'm so happy you made a video on this. Hopefully you'll do an update for Pycharm and/or VS code soon. :)

Dear Corey, You are doing a fabulous job and I keep coming back to your videos to learn new concepts. I request you to cover two topics which keep coming back to haunt me in my day to day work life - Python subprocess (stdout and stderr capturing) and Python multiprocessing. I believe that you should explain multiprocessing and multithreading logic in Python as no one can do that better than you. Cheers

Auto-indentation and de-indentation is nice too. I guess it is Ctrl + [ and Crtl + ], respectively.

you're right, just that it's the opposite.

Mr. Schafer I have just finished the Flask blog tutorial, and I am working on my own application using Flask. Your tutorial was very helpful for me, and is helping me grasp the language way better now. I have one problem though, I am not able to figure out how to deploy my app to heroku (I am a beginner) and for some reason all the tutorials I try give me some error in the end. I know you are working on the Django series but if possible as one of the weekly videos, can you please add one more video to the Flask series on how to deploy the Flask blog to heroku. Thanks

Only about 6 minutes in so haven't seen the full video yet, apologies if this is covered later in the video. I've seen multiple instances now where you could've used shift+right-click (hold and drag) to create a vertical line of cursors instead of ctrl+clicking each line. Should save some time.

or you can hold down scroll wheel and drag

For programming in python is there any packages or setups that would allow sublime text to run like an IDE? i have to keep going back and forth between sublime and IDLE to test output and its a little inefficient

Okay. I like your videos. Really much. But.... 19 minutes and you ended with multiple cursor in 12th minute?!? My god. I thought you will present at least 5-10 items. Truth to be told, I don't even want to imagine an editor without a multiple cursor anymore, it!s the most used thing I do. But in your next series, be a little faster, please. Not fast! :) I like your pace. Mainly. But faster than in this one. Just my opinion. Anyway, good job :)
@coreyms6 жыл бұрын
I realized I spent a lot of time on the multi-cursor functionality as I was editing this video, but it is what I get asked about most in the comments so I wanted to cover all areas of where I get questions (i.e. typing, copying/pasting, splitting, editing, etc). This may not be the best video for people who already know these features well. But anyways, I hope you got something out of it.
