For the record, the Khopesh is not a sickle and couldn't function in the same manner as one. The bladed edge is on the outside of the curve of a Khopesh and inside of the curve of a sickle. Also, while it is larger than a dagger or a shortsword, the European Longsword is not a heavy, unwieldy weapon. It was finely balanced with the center of mass is near the hands. It takes very little effort to get a Longsword moving compared to a club of the same weight. It was also much thinner than people tend to expect, which aided in keeping them typically around 2.5-3.5 pounds.

Tbh, the Ninja sword, also known as the Ninjatō, should be the number one sword. I'm an experienced user of Japanese swords, and the reason the Ninjatō should be the number one is because it's better than the Katana in everyway. The Ninjatō could handle more damage, is twice as sharp, and the blade is described as "damn near indestructible". Plus, someone with a Ninjatō with a 36" blade is someone to be feared.

You have convinced me, the most deadliest sword would be a double-edge sickle sword with a semi squared tip(therefor having two tips, points) hence the : Khopesh, Mambele, Shotel, Arahk stabbing(using both tips of the Khopesh) chopping(using both edges), hooking. I believe any sickle type sword art form would give us a better idea. ...... so #1, #2 and the Khopesh(I forgot the number) has the same usage.

Nathan Galayde rapiers can’t cut enough to damage a zombie in any significant way. Stabbing is good against living opponents who still feel pain; but not against the undead.

Can confirm. I recently bought a longsword. A euro model 2 by ronin katana, to be precise, and It is not heavy at all. In fact, it is easier to use than an arming sword because you are using two arms, which means double the strength, but it is not twice as heavy.

If you bought a "long sword" and it weighs only one pound? It's likely a mall sword and it's fake. There are no swords that are 2 to 3 feet long (or longer) and weigh one pound unless it's DnD magic swords. I own over 45 blades and some of my knives (6") weigh a pound. And I don't buy junk

..... My favorite weapon (bladed) vs zombies is the Kukri. Most sword blades can't be used in rooms or hallways efficiently, if at all. They are heavy and you will tire quickly with them. Kukri make excellent tools as well. They are great piercers, slashers and chopping weapons. In a pinch you can throw them because they are aerodynamic. Many people overlook the greatest tactics vs zombies. That is destroying the fingers to keep them from holding, grasping you to take you down and overwhelming you with numbers. Or destroying the toes, feet to keep them from pursuing you. But the Kukri is more efficient than 95% of all blades in what it can do. It also can be used to hammer with its back side of the blade. It also weighs less than half the weight of most swords, much easier to carry. Its fat blade also easily parries attacks.

A kukri is a Napoli's machete, could be a dagger or knife, used by the kurkers in the British army, they have a very power slash because of their curved blades, generally they aren't very long but they act like machetes and could be used like a sword or long knife

Kukri are the best pick. They are swords but some will call them knives. They are typically 12 to 15 inches in blade alone so that qualifies as a sword. I have several. I was trained by a Ghurka from Burma years ago.

i must say that the rapier isnt a sword for a zombie apoc. because is to flexible and canot pass the eye soket, so a bad election. And the katana could wor if was made whit modern materials (hight carbon steel) and technics (or european technics), the myto of foulder the iron for max cuality is wrong, the steel of katanas was the wors steel ever, so bad that the type of steel they use was now in europe like "pig iron" not ideal for a sword.

What you are saying about the rapier is completely false. It wasn’t that flexible compared to other swords because it was so long. Also it can pierce the eye socket there are plenty of historical texts that state this and have pictures of it. There's a sword that I use that I would recommend is called K exclusive twin Ninja swords with tactical sheath on Amazon if you can't afford one of these big styles of knives or swords these are only $22.99 I would recommend getting the double a set for this much I don't know how much the shipping is but I would recommend it because if you and your significant other are around or if your drool builder at least you'd have an extra one they could take a beating so I would recommend getting a couple

thank you I just wish I could put a picture up there so people can see what it looks like it's not very expensive either it's very affordable and the one I had has taken a lot of damage so far so I don't think it's going to break anytime soon so all it needs is when you get it if it doesn't come Sharp you just need to get a wet stone or a belt brand or something to sharpen it up to where to cut through stuff no problem I really love your guy's Channel because I'm 10 preparing for zombie apocalypse and you guys have very helpful tips 😁 I wish you guys as well

Naginata or the Nodachi are great in larger open areas (if you are skilled) but in rooms or hallways you cannot use them at all. They would be useless. I prefer the Kukri. The larger weapons also tire you out faster in combat and get heavy quickly when not in use.
