you got it, there is nothing better, Lake Speed jr ( the motor oil geek), did some really involved testing pennzoil platinum came out on top, Amsoil also did well, the ultra platinum has a better detergent additive package making it a better choice for a carburated engine or one that has some sludge but for a good clean engine the platinum is all you need@@Davido50

How were these ratings arrived at? This info can be found on the label/press release. No oil analysis or real world use/test. Per the motor oil geek, science not speculation. I use Rotella t5 as it has almost the same additive package as the t6 but based in a synthetic blend.

There is no full synthetic motor oil anywhere in the world! It's all made from petroleum oil with some synthetic oil as an additive.

Pennzoil platinum is made from natural gas not crude oil, yes I see your point but I no longer care Pennzoil platinum is what I use, it is the best, do not care if it is synthetic or not

@jimsix9929 I tried it before, and I will when I can't get Mobil 1 .When Mobil 1 came out, I used it in all of my muscle cars growing up, and I have gotten a lot of miles out of my cars

do not take my comment the wrong way, Mobil 1 is good oil but Pennzoil platinum is better and cleaner for about the same price, it is the only one I know of that is not made from crude oil but natural gas, so less carbon in the base oil means a cleaner engine@@richards.mchardy3556
