I got my first tattoo machine free off Temu by feeding the fish😂😂😂 so i tattooed myself in stick figure fishing as a reminder of how this tattooing hobby started. I must say for a freebie kit it goes very well. I have done nearly 16 tattoos on myself so far. Once i gain more skill n committed to this new hobby i will upgrade to a better wireless rotary machine.

I’m in the 101 class. I asked some guy in my city to try his machine on fake skin but we had conflicting schedules and it didn’t work out. He recommended I go on Amazon and buy the cheapest machine/kit. Didn’t do that and invested in the class instead. Happy to find this video and grateful for all the info u guys share.

I started with the coil and hearing about tube cleaning just brought back some gross memories. Tattooing has changed so much for the better in every aspect I don’t miss that heavy coil machine or those annoying wires and I’m never looking back 😅 only thing I miss is that classic coil machine sound that use to take me away while tattooing however silence is great also. @@timberwolf7183 I don't agree. When I first started my apprenticeship I ordered an Ambition Soldier off Amazon, and it was a great machine for the price. I was able to switch to a Cheyenne Sol Nova Unlimited recently, but the Ambition did what I needed it to.

Not rocket science. The places charging $600-1000 for these are simply price gouging and get by on their name. Yes they are better, but there's plenty of good, cheap, machines out there. It's more the artist using it than the machine.

Can you explain stroke better and the difference between machines that are set for shading only please. I have 2 pen style. One a rocket 2 and one mini rocket with 3 batteries that last over 8 hours each. They have a 3.5 stroke in both. I was told that would be the best for me to learn on.

Bishop wand… all day, every day .. liner, packer .. shader i use the sol nova unlimited Inks.. love Intenze colours, but man the bonding agent they use is whack.. obv not such an issue with the colours u use often, but the colours you don’t use that often.. Intenze is gonna dry up and separate.. ends up like thick gloss paint.. the binder is the issue, cheap product used. World famous and Eternal.. never let me down yet.. fusion is cool for a skin tone but they do some cheeky mixing in their colour ranges, I bought a melon type yellow, and it was visible tha5 it was jus5 yellow and a light flesh tone, you could visibly see the inks not mixed in properly 😂 for blacks I like the Dynamic and the Empire .. Panthera white. Kwadron carts all day every day. Over. Out. Great show guys ✌🏻

Would you recommend a packer or shader bishop for a beginner? For context, I started an apprenticeship 15 years ago and stopped, was using the old school style machine, cheap n nasty, my first tattoo on my hubby has lasted surprisingly well! I have a strong art background and want to get into realism but I think the bread and butter will be in the bolder styles in the beginning. The shader draws me because of the realism and the 3.5 stroke but it might be putting the cart before the horse. Thanks!

Was touching up a finger tat of mine, bent my finger without relising how close the gun was and nicked the middle of my finger with a random black line instead of having a random line turned it into the outline of a blood drop and it all worked out 😂

I’ve been tattooing since 1995 and this episode has great information. I have to say this however, Dynamic dark brown, dark violet, and the darkest blue are amazing colors. They are easy to work with, blend and they age very well. I have some Dynamic ink in my own personal tattoos that I’ve had almost 30 years now and those 3 above mentioned colors still look brilliant and solid, the other Dynamic colors are not good. I would totally stay away from the red, magenta, green, yellow and orange. Chroma Inks are amazing.

They're both quite alright, I used to use T techs for a long time until they made some changes to their cartridges, then I started to explore other brands. - Nathan Cnc police cartridges are a good option if you're looking for something that is a little bit friendlier for your wallet, but yeah there's nothing wrong with T techs either. - Brandon

I use ambition machines. they are super cheap and last a good amount of time, they are so cheap you could buy 2 and if one goes out you have a Back up but I still have yet for a machine to stop working. If you’re looking for a good cheap machine ambition the way to go and they are super overlooked

Coil machines are just simple mechanics cheap or not it just works. Half the time it’s the artist not the machine people can tattoo with sticks and thorns it’s not the machine. I love how people defend thier choise of machine to vigorously like it’s become thier personality and it’s offensive to pick anything other.

Hmmm the inkjectas are a great machine that can do it all because they come with adjustable strokes and cams. Or as mentioned in the video the EZ P3 wireless machine is a good cheaper alternative.

A great cheaper company for machines these days is Ambition. Their "Torped" machine is designed slightly like the bishop but has a recessed rca port so it doesnt stick out the back of the machine. But the back end unscrews allowing you to change the cam/stroke and clean the drivebar and inner areas. I bought a flux max and for the price I'm slightly shocked you can't clean the inner mechanisms

I have this also. Seems ok. Shipped with 3.5 / 4 / 4.5 though instead of 5.0 Not a huge deal for me. Plus from what I hear 5.0 might blow a few carts. I contacted the seller about the missing 5.0 cam and they gave a full refund. WIN

As mentioned in the video, The Mast Tour and the EZ P3 Wireless Pen Machine are good machines within that price range. However, they do not sell disposable grips for these machines at the moment so you will only be able to use them on fake skins.

Forget the machines, the good fake skin is crazy expensive, especially considering how many you need while learning.
