astra will be great for infinite tower. i used ben as my main shielder to clear 25 since i skipped caesar. he's honestly really great built as a pseudo-stunner and gives shields to everyone, not just the active character. also fulfilling his team bonus gives 16% crit to shielded characters. did miyabi/ben/lucy and it worked super well.

Miyabi Ceaser Astra will be so strong an unkillable Miyabi with multiple buffs an access to her chain attack any time. With Ceaser who puts up her shield when she chain attacks. It's going to be absolutely insane

@@danieldoingthings Dreams (leaks) say ZZZ 1.x will only go till v1.7, then it's v2.0, which makes sense since v1.5 will be 7 weeks long, then another 6 weeks for each of v1.6 and v1.7, which gives 19 weeks, almost 5 months from now, leading to 1 year since ZZZ's launch. miHoYo releases versions X.0 (i.e. v2.0, v3.0, v4.0, etc) during the anniversary of their games. Yanagi might return sooner in v1.6 or v1.7 if the devs decide to bring her sooner, for example, they're re-running Qingyi earlier than Zhu Yuan, even though Qingyi was released after Zhu Yuan. Yanagi could re-run only in v2.0, but miHoYo usually puts a DPS with their vX.0s, so they might not want to put 2 DPSs fighting each for pulls.

I've seen a lot of comments saying they're gonna skip Astra Yao cause they already have Caesar. I also have Caesar so now I'm kinda considering just pulling for Evelyn instead of Astra cause I need a fire unit T^T (though I do have Soldier 11 but idk I just feel like she a little weak but maybe it's just a me/skill issue lol) now I'm torn T^T^T

Nah get both. You swap chars after each floor and she'll add massive como variety. Plus she has crazy quick swap combo potential. That and if you miyabi, she'll be immortal with stupid amount off buffs with both ceaser and Astra on team. So tower would be a joke at that point. Especially if miyabis m2

While true, never underestimate pure limited support characters in miHoYo's games. Honkai Impact 3rd is often called "Support Impact 3rd", Honkai: Star Rail is "Honkai: Support Rail" and Genshin Impact is "Support Impact". They are usually very busted supports, and some times even broken. You also need 2 teams for Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault. I can imagine later being 3 teams as Deadly Assault gets more difficulty. They're also releasing another Infinite Tower mode, where your health doesn't recuperate between battles, this seems like a mode they will constantly release a new version of every few months. Which means a Healer will be even more useful, as enemies hit really hard in that mode's later floors and even the strongest shield (Caesar's) don't last more than 1-2 hits, I know this because I have Caesar fully built and you have to keep dodging all the time against 2 bosses. You get hit once or twice and then your shield is gone, then if you get hit once or twice depending on your health, your character dies. There's no other healer in the game at this point except for a bangboo and that's not really reliable. Don't think just about now, but try to think how you imagine the game will be in the future. Skipping a unit like Astra Yao might sound reasonable now, but you might end up regretting it later. DPSs are far more easy to replace than supports, specially those that heal or defend.

I think the healing is only useful for the Tower, like Astra and Caesar and Miyabi for tower pushing just sounds broken, infinite I frames on top of shields and heals.

On average, if you have the guarantee, you'll get 1 with about 25 more pulls. That only leaves you 25 for the second. Good luck, but I'd keep farming if you really want both

yeah, you need 30 more pulls to get first 50/50 then you still have another 20 pulls + some extra from 1.5, you might just have enough to hit the soft pity at 70 pulls, if not get lucky or not get lucky

Grind out Withered Domain and Lost Void asap. You will get a nice chunk of polychrome. Especially the resonium tasks as they are shared and complete on both simultaneously. Good luck!

I have around 150 pulls banked, I feel like that gives me a fighting chance to get both Yao and Eve, but then they announced Ellen's rerun for the same patch. Should I go for all three, or should I wait for Ellen to rerun alongside a new character I don't care about? (I already have Qingyi, for the record.)

I'm really only thinking about pulling for Ellen out of sentiment, since I already have the rest of her faction, and Koleda is the only other launch character I don't have. If she was in the second half I'd just use however many pulls I had left after Evelyn on her, but she's in the first half of a patch where I want both new characters, so I guess I'll hold out and see who her second rerun pits her against. Sorry Ellen.

Is she a necessary pull or could you beat the content without her. Right now I can beat Shiyu, not Deadly Assault and I don't know if Astra is the reason or Caesar.

I dont see why you’re failing deadly assault because of no caesar or astra tbh. Feels like you are blaming on them cause you dont have them. I mean, by your logic that means you need 3 caesar/astra to 9 stars DA. Do you try to get bonus score? They alone give like 4-5k score iirc

Outside of the obvious difference between the two being one has a shield and one can heal, I wanted an in depth analysis between using one or the other on a team and how impactful or diminishing it can be using one or the other. A good example for when this would be useful is in the Endless Tower. Ignore my statement having to do with the DA.

I don’t have Caesar and 9 star the deadly assault with 28k point on all 3 mode, you just need 6 star to get all the important reward tho So to answer your question, no u do not need Caesar or Yao to complete end game content, they make it easier but not necessary
