Thanks for making this. My sister was having a bit of a bad day, and there's very little out there about the perks of blindness, especially when it's sudden, and this made her smile. Thank you so much

Yay! That is so cool and this is also the reason why I make videos to make people not feel alone! So glad that you are getting something out of my videos as blindness can be a very sad disability x

When you said your friends will always look 17 to you.. My friend could see a little bit when we met in year 7, so when we were 12 years old. Now we're in our 20's and I mentioned something just in passing about my hair colour, and her mind was blown. Because in her head I looked the same as I did in year 7. We never really think about that stuff but that realisation, it was pretty trippy. We then spent a moment clarifying what I actually look like as an adult now. hah. It was weird.

I love that your experience with vision loss has shaped what you want to do with your life! I have had a very similar experience, and I want to take my future career as a counselor/psychotherapist to help other people with disabilities and advocate for the mental health of individuals who are struggling with disability. I can't wait to hear more from you about your future law career! :)

You made me shed a tear, not of Sadness but of Joy. Your positive attitude is what we should all learn from your videos. We should always be grateful for whatever situation God puts on how way (Learn from them and overcome them).

I've watched a video of a blind young boy and he says that the best part about being blind is that he sees people with his heart for who they truly are, instead of what they look like on the outside. That was straight to my heart. Many people could learn from his quote and understand that a person is much more than what he/she looks like.

Hi, i am short sighted and my biggest fear (hightened because of my anxiety) is of going blind. This has really helped and just reassured me that there are some positives - thanks! Xxx

I love your positive attitude about being blind. Especially since all of us in the blind and visually impaired community gets plenty of negative attitude from the non-disabled general public.

You are doing great. I love your videos, because you keep underlining the positives. To me you help demystify the everyday life of a young blind woman. On this video, though, I think the background music might have been a bit too loud, as I had to concentrate a lot more when watching to hear what your saying. Otherwise a great video :D

In a black out you'd be ok guiding everyone, while everyone else will be freaking out. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 My questions 1) Do you have special technology that can read to you if you wanted to play a video game? 2) Do you like perfume? 3) What is your favorite thing to eat?

A brilliant video, do you have trouble with laces, I have a lovely pair of red converse, and red vans, and sometimes I have trouble doing the laces up. I also wear black slip on school Pumps, which I adore. What do you like wearing, Pumps or Trainers? And happy new year to you both.

Hello! Thank you very much for your videos! My mother (70 years old) is not blind, but does't have central vision (macular degeneration) since some years ago. Since she was very fond of making manual things, she's been very depressed because she says she can't do the things she used to do. She can't see TV, she can't distinguish her grandsons faces, she can't paint, can't knit (unless someone is near had to help), sewing...and she is always wandering when can she see again. I'm always trying to imagine nice things she can do without seeing, but maybe you can give me some help!! Thank you very much!

Really interesting Lucy, thank you... as a rehab worker, I will use some of this to motivate people. But next time please NO background music, it's way too loud for me... I had to tun on the live captions to understand everything you were saying... and yet my hearing is pretty good normally but what you have to say is so useful, the music is a massive distraction from your lovely, mellow voice. Truly not needed, in my humble opinion. Just saying :)
