Have you ever heard of Coruna before? Did you know the oldest lighthouse in the world still operating still functioned here?

I am Galician myself, and the saying "depende" is more typical in Galicia than the rest of Spain. In fact, in other places of the peninsula they use to say that Gallegos answer always with a cryptic question, and we are people that "ni subimos ni bajamos" (you never know if we go up or down, something in between). This is related with the fact that Gallegos are normally quite conservative with their opinions and ideas, always cautious. So, if they are not 100% sure about something they will tell you "depende" just in case. Culturally, this is related with the weather, as in Galicia it rains most of the year. The castilians por example are much more asertive and direct, the catalonias are good money savers/entrepreneurs, vasque bottled up with strong caracter like gallegos and andalucians funny/glad and wellcoming. Each part of Spain is like a little country with differences in arquitecture, history, food, people, language and traditions, like any other country i guess.

The views from the lighthouse are amazing!! I love seeing lesser visited/known cities. The Castle San Anton was realy neat. Thank you!

Aren’t they! I love the non-touristy places because it feels like a real vacation and not a competition for photos, lol. LOVED the castle too.

Olvidáis citar a Galicia.

I noticed that what you label from your visit to the castle as Aquarium is in fact a coil dome depot, build to avoid spread of coil in the air. The coil was imported to be used in the Thermal power plant of Meirama 🙂
