As a lifelong Chicagoan, I'd also recommend taking the El (CTA elevated train) to one of the many neighborhoods outside downtown- Logan Square, Ravenswood, Humboldt Park, Pilsen, Bronzeville- to explore their personality. Excellent choices for murals, live music, and delicious local food!

My son used to live there. We took our own Al Capone tour. First The Green Mill. Then to a amazing pizza underground den across the street from the St. Valentine's massacre. The Art Museum of Chicago is the bomb. Ferris Bueller!

@@ffmde8268​​⁠ yes. Trust me don’t listen to the media or the haters. Chicago is not that bad. Heck, I went a couple weeks ago and walked around the Loop at night till about 6am and nothing happened. I of course did have company with me but as long as ya stay away from the south side of the city, and stick around either downtown or the north side you will be fine.

I found out you can do a tour at Solider's Field. Best to get tickets on line to see available dates because other activites like concerts and other sports events during the Bears off season.

I went to chicago 2 years ago and was able to use the city pass to go the museum of science and industry! Not sure if that has changed but it was such a highlight for my partner and I that we would rather go to that again over the art museum (despite how great it is!)

As a Chicagoan (my whole life), the video doesn't show a Chicago style hot dog(go to Portillo's), also that was not oyster rockefeller. Oyster rockefeller has spinach, cheese, sometimes breadcrumbs; those were regular oysters.

This is why I prefer traveling outside the United States. It's crazy. I just took a trip around the world and I felt perfectly safe walking around Kuala Lumpur and as soon as I get to LA I see screaming maniacs people attempting to rob, a store and a guy get arrested in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard. You might want to re-dub the part where you describe the lakeside trail - you said it's all along the eastern edge of Lake Michigan. It's the western edge. The eastern edge of Lake Michigan is in Michigan.

Hola, Blue Line from ORD is great to The Loop. South Loop is an excellent location. Soldier Field is fantastic, maybe a Bears game. The Bar on the 95th floor of the Hancock Center is great. Go to Hyde park, 57 th St. Beach, Washington Library, museums everywhere. Visit The Cultural Center in The Loop across from Millennium Park. Have a great trip. Greetings from lovely Cancun.
