Dam, This was *absolutely great.* So thorough, so informative. Shit I've lived almost my entire life & some of the places, I had no clue. But what really got me is when you took it outside the Downtown area. I'd go to the Garfield Conservatory & just sit. I've been to Johnny's many-many times & never forget the Italian ice. I used go to Jibarito Y Mas order dinner then get tons of rice to take her. I can't get over how informative your vlog was... *I'll have to rewatch this again.* I wish I could *LIKED IT* *Multiple Times👍🏿*

Visited Chicago 4 times between 2002-2004, while courting my then girlfriend. We got married on my 2nd trip at Chicago City Hall in the Winter of 2002/2003. She moved back to the UK with me in August 2003. We visited the following year. Not been back. There was plenty we never did and I suspect its not the Chicago I remember after 20-22 years. I have no idea if I will ever go back but it will also be special as I spent time with my wife.

About the Chicago flag: The 3 white stripes represent the city’s north, west and south sides. The 2 blue stripes represent the north and south branch of the Chicago river, although some say one stripe represents the river and the other represents Lake Michigan. The 4 stars represent the 4 “F”s of Chicago history - the founding of Fort Dearborn in 1803, the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, the World’s Fair of 1893 (aka the great Colombian Exposition) and the World’s Fair of 1933 (aka the Century of Progress fair)

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun 2 Corinthians 5:17 When God changes a life, it’s so dramatic, so significant, that you usually can’t even tell what the person was once like. That’s what God can do. And that’s what the Savior did when He met two demon-possessed men after crossing the Sea of Galilee. There was a herd of pigs nearby, and the demons begged Him, “If you cast us out, send us into that herd of pigs” (Matthew 8:31) So the demons went into the pigs, who then went over the side of a cliff and committed mass suicide. This shows us that the men’s demon possession was real. Otherwise, someone could have claimed they were just putting on a show, that it was all phony. How did the people in the community react? Matthew tells us, “The herdsmen fled to the nearby town, telling everyone what happened to the demon-possessed men. Then the entire town came out to meet Jesus, but they begged him to go away and leave them alone” (8:33-34) The terrifying men who lived in a graveyard were transformed. The community couldn’t believe they were the same people as before. You would think the community would rejoice and want Jesus to stay and perform more miracles. But they were afraid. That’s because Jesus was bad for business. They were making good money off those pigs (which, by the way, were unkosher), and their livelihood had just gone over a cliff. In their minds, Jesus had ruined everything, so they begged Him to go away. Jesus might have wanted to change their lives, but they didn’t want that change. Instead, they wanted Him to leave. What would you have done if you had been living in that community at that time? Would you have said, “Lord, come into my life” or “Away with You, Lord!”? When it comes to Jesus, those are really the only two choices we have.
