Loved the video, the only issue is that I just wish you had a slightly better guide taking you around, since there are some mistakes in the information, like the you call the "fast food" shish kebab, however that is a Döner Kebab. Or the place you walked along calling Bosphorus is actually the "Golden Horn" not the Bosphorus. Hope you decide to visit again and I'd be more than happy to provide you with tips and tricks. Loved the video, keep up the good work.

Nicely done video. One point if I may? “mezir carsisi? Ç in Turkish is (ch) and Ș in Turkish is (sh). Misir is pronounced [(miseer) meaning Eygpt]. Çarşi [(char shi) meaning bazzar, market, shop]. Thus, Misir Çarşisi means Egyption Bazzar.

How on earth do you get "Theodeesus" out of "Theodosius"? Mispronouncing most of the Turkish names is less surprising (though still distracting), but one of the most famous names in Western history? Also, the Turks took over Constantinople in 1453, not 1460. Also: the term "Byzantine Empire" was not coined until long after the Byzantine Empire no longer existed. They always called themselves the Roman Empire, even after Rome was no longer part of it.
@lonelywolf1480 Жыл бұрын
And the capital of the empire did not move back to Rome after the fall (or conquer, depending on which side you look it from) of Constantinopolis, as western part of the Roman empire had collapsed almost one thousand years ago. The fall of Constantinopolis marked the end of the Roman Empire from the history.

Nice list. How much haggling can we do? 1/5 of the price? In Morocco, I often got 1/20 of the price.
@lonelywolf1480 Жыл бұрын
You can't haggle everywhere. For ex, if you visit a department store, no haggling. You will end up paying the price on the label. In paces like Grand Bazaar, you can do some haggling for items such as leather jackets, carpets etc. Perhaps you get discounts around 30% or so, but no way at rates of 1/5. let alone 1/20th of the asking price. But no haggling in jewellery stores there. In short, it depends on where you go and what you buy.

@@lonelywolf1480 thanks for the tip. I know in Morocco they don't give to local people a high price. But when they see tourists, they know we are not used to bargaining and will start very high and see how good we are. Then it takes a while to get the price by half and when we get 70% off we feel so good but in fact we are still paying more than the local people

If anyone wondering where these arin the Grand Bazaar. I’m on holiday for a week in Istanbul right now and I’ve been to the grand Bazaar 2 times and the blue mosk, the Sulaymaniyah mosk and many more beautiful mosks are there. A fun fact is the blue mosk was once a church but the Muslims purchased it and turned it into a mosk, then people turned it into a guduwara, then turned it into a mosk again😜 but allhamdulillah now in this moment it is a mosk that I’ve been to today! If your upset abt the Muslims doing this then they actually were rlly kind as they kept most decorations that didn’t have eyes in the mosk, out of respect!!! Huge respect🫶🏼
