I grew up in Kalamazoo. The best thing about the place is that it is a college town, which makes it far more open and liberal than the other very conservative Dutch Reformed cities in Southwestern Michigan, such as Grand Rapids or Holland.

If your not from Kalamazoo you shouldn't go you atleast gotta have family that can help you not get killed when I was a kid my cousin came up from the south and he was told by police that if your not black or a crackhead they'll kill you on the Northside cops exact words all he did was made a wrong turn trying to locate his job and boom almost was in a bad spot

Not true as Kzoo is home to Western Michigan University where many international students study. Being one of them and came here five years ago, I feel safe

I’m born and raised in Kalamazoo,it’s a very nice city - the east side is the bad side of town ,just like the north side -the rest of Kalamazoo is nice.

This is my county, and I was KIND OF surprised to see the Air zoo! I used to go there a LOOOOTTT when I was younger, the air zoo is a really if experience! I’d suggest it!
