BEST things to do in Korçë, Albania!

The second episode of My Albanian Life is more of a history video. We went and visited the town of Korçë in southern Albania, and I did some research on different places in the city to try and help you learn about it!

Albania is so pretty. I'm from Norway and I feel blessed for that, but for the past years I've totally fallen in love with Albania. I want to make it my new home. Yes if it doesn't work I'll go back to Norway, but I hope so so much that I can get an opportunity to do so. Love the language, love the music, the nature, the people, everything.

Hey James, make sure to visit Fier too. We have millenian old Apollonia, Seman beach, Gjanica river in the middle of the city..etc. There is a lot to see in each city and area of our small country :))

For me, that video of yours gets me all emotional. I am an immigrant (actually my parents are, i was born in another country) and korca, is my hometown! I love this city! Unfortunately i wasnt able to visit homeland in a long time, so right now i am sitting in my room, sobbing like a baby, bursting with pride and emotion! Not pride of my origins (origins are random, not something one achieves) , but of korcas beauty!

Have you visited Elbasan,yet?? There is a huge castle (with a hotel, restaurants and such inside) and a coffee shop 20 stories high (Davino Play) with a great view of the city.

Been in Korçë twice fo far (summer 2016 and 2018) with my family but this city never gets bored. Not to big, not to small, just perfect! in 2016 they were still renovating the Bazar but in 2018 we had a nice overnight apartment over there. 2 spots we missed so far when we were there (war monument and Korça brewery, they're on our list for next visit) but what I miss in this video is the Red (panoramic) Tower (great view over the city) and creperie pedonale (Bulevardi Shën Gjergji). Very nice pancakes, when we say "what do you want to visit when we get back to Korçë" the kids say, "the pancake restaurant".

Great video, but pls note that Korca it's a culinary experience in its own right in Albania, and a few qofte with beer won't cut it ;) You have to go back and dig more, also about the customs of the ppl taking care of their personal and public place (community) like nowhere else in Albania. These info are for you, I'm not asking for you to make another video. Side note curiosity: The firsts Albanians to have been emigrated in all the other continents out of Europe are all from the region of Korca. Cheers.

Greetings from VLORA! Have you visited Vlora? Vlora is the place where the proclamation of independence was proclaimed on November 28, 1912 by Ismail Qemali. Vlora has two beautiful sea: Adriatik and Jon. Also, Vlora has more wonderful beaches; has two amaizing islands: Sazan and Zvërnec and has also one giant and fantastic peninsula: Karaburun. Vlora is in south-west in Albania and restaurants offer traditional and delicious foods and there are hosts people. Also, Vlora has big and beautiful promenade: Lungo Mare and you can find in Vlora Kanina Castle that is historic castle and from castle you can see the view of Vlora. You can visit other adventurous places in Vlora such as: the bridge of Manastir,Radhima,Orikum, Llogora,Palase,Dhermi,Himare,Jale,Gjipe,Qeparo,Porto Palermo,Pilur,Vuno etc. Many people from different countries are very satisfied with Vlora.

That orthodox cathedral was built in 1995 by greece which has been trying since 1991 to forcely convert the whole south of albania into a greek province and all albanian migrants to greeks
