Hi! Yes they may check even at the boarding gate! I have seen multiple people getting stopped and their cabin luggage being weighed after security check as well! I am sure you will have a great time there! Malaysia is a beautiful place for family vacation!

Yes Srinidhi both are different and both are awesome! I recommend doing both! But if you need to make a decision, watch both episodes and decide!

Is the island hopp safe for senior citizens if we go with parents?

Depends on their fitness and health conditions! I don't find it very risky, but you must have seen the boat ride is very fast and if they have motion sickness etc, then may not be comfortable.
