We went to Prague on our honeymoon (first week we spent in Munich) and it was amazing. It was much cheaper than Munich and because we went in April, much less crowded. We got a 7 tower pass so climbed most of those towers that were included in that 1 ticket. On the way back from one of them we stopped by the Spy museum which was super cool. We also did a trip to the Bone Church which wasn't too far away.

Nice suggestions. I'd add the Municipal House interior as a must visit (ticket required). Even the cafe and restaurant look great. Look also for Adria Palace with its unique Rondo-cubist (unique only to Czech Republic) exterior and a fabulous Art Deco interior. The Petřín funicular is out of service from October 2024, for repairs and installation of new carriages. It may be open in October 2024 for special tours. Expected to resume operations in mid-2026.

You missed Cžernin Palace and Gardens. They are beautiful and near Prague Castle. The Palace apartment during WWII was the residence of the German Nazi Reichsprotektor. Unfortunately, the Palace is not open to the public, but the gardens are. If you’re facing the Palace from the Gardens, the apartment is on the right hand side.

You mentioned crowds often. If you visit in off seasons like winter, it’s a little better?
@user-qu8zs7vs1x7 ай бұрын
Yes, and also in summer despite it being tourist season I did not find it horribly crowded, just like any other big city with tourists basically
@kenlee14163 ай бұрын
Not in my experience. I was in Prague in early March (the first days of spring but still end of winter conditions) and the main sights were jam packed, with the addition of plenty of teens from other EU countries. However, you can avoid the crowds for a while by staying right in the centre and start exploring the city starting from 5 or 5:30am - and you'll have the city almost to yourself, for about 3 hours.

You're using totally old pictures - f.e. at 11:58 - the whole building of the National Museum has been renovated, inside and outside, and it looks marvellous... It has been reopened in 2018, so your pictures are at least 6 years old.. And to your comment about Wenceslas square not being worth a visit, well, the bottom part has been fully renovated in 2022 - made pedestrian zone only, cars were forbidden, more trees planted, sidewalks expanded over the whole part etc... So it definitely IS worth a visit, as it looks completely different... The upper part of the square awaits the same, starting on the 29th of June 2024 and lasting for 3 years, as there will be a new tram line added.. And there are many more really old pictures showing the state of affairs many many years ago... So please, next time, pay attention when making such videos.....

The buildings in the upper section of the Square are steadily being transformed into modern building blocks with plenty of glass and with boring, flat and plain facades (ie buildings found everywhere on the planet). The worst one is now the "Flow" building with its weird contemporary design. Totally incongruous with the St. Wenceslas group of statues and National Museum. Hope the other building owners don't do that in the lower section. Can't imagine Koruna Palac being torn down and a hideous plain box put in its place. I can accept the Baťa building as it's an iconic Czech brand but the others..

Nice video. I would try to work on your vocal fry, though--it was a bit annoying to me.

For me Prague wasn’t the place, the five star hotel I did stay did try to scam be with fabricated parking charge of 18 000 korunas. Some may ask what’s wrong with that but, firstly, I did not have car as I arrived from the airport by a prepaid transfer, second the 18000 korunas is equivalent to around €600\€700 euro. Staff was extremely rude and the hotel was part of one of the biggest hotel chains in the world. So definitely I will not go back to this country, I will not spend my money in a place were scamming tourists happens even in a five star hotels!!!!
