Viking River Cruise from Amsterdam to Basel! Visiting Dordrecht, Cologne, Koblenz, Mannheim, Speyer, Strasbourg, Breisach, Basel and then a few days in Zurich. I'd love to hear more about the markets in Amsterdam and Zurich! Thank you for the tips on Airalo and E-sims. It is nice to get current information as I've been watching a lot of videos from last year's markets!

@@wendybulmer3389 amazing!! I hope you have an amazing time. In Zurich, don't miss the singing Christmas tree - they do performances every evening with a choir that stands in an Xmas tree shaped stand haha. And in Basel, there's a cute wishbook in the City Hall courtyard where people leave their Advent wishes. London has lots of great things to see as well - though it gets VERY busy so I'd recommend doing your shopping during the day, then returning to see the lights/installations after shops have closed as it'll be much less crowded then. Safe travels!!

Do you have a specific overall website you recommend to check multiple markets? Leaving tomorrow for a Rhine cruise and planning on going to as many as I can. 😊

I have a question though, if i purchase 10gb data for 15 days, does it mean i only have to consume 10gb for the WHOLE 15 days? Or is it 10gb of data per Day for 15 days? Thank you!

Great tips! This is a comprehensive guide for first-time visitors to Germany. It's especially helpful to highlight the importance of learning a few basic German phrases. A little effort in this area can go a long way in making your trip more enjoyable and authentic.

such great ideas! We are headed to Toronto this christmas and cant wait to visit some of the areas you mentioned. Qq for you - the Casa Loma tunnel you showed in the video, is that part of the "holiday lights" tour or "christmas at the castle" tour?

Thank you Christina for another great video! In New Zealand we don't have a tipping culture so are always unsure of tipping when we travel, but we do try really hard to tip appropriately. Can I ask you (as a Canadian) how much people would normally expect to tip bell services for storing some ski bags and a couple of suitcases? Do we tip when they take the bags from us, when we pick them up, or both? We have a night booked at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport and this kind of thing totally stumps me...
@HappytoWanderКүн бұрын
Aw I appreciate comments like this so much because it shows how genuinely invested you are in respecting local customs haha. The Fairmont at YVR is lovely too. Re: tipping for bag storage, I’m not sure this is super common in Canada! I’m sure it’s appreciated but definitely not expected to the same extent as the US, and I’ve actually never thought to do it as I never use bellhop services, and only on occasion leave my bag in a storage room or something if needed. If you do want to tip though, I think something in the $5-$10 range would be appropriate. I would probably tip half at drop off then half at pick up, just in case it’s a different staff member helping you out! Hope that helps.

As an American living in a large city (Dallas), I usually tip 15-20% at restaurants and around 10% for delivery. It really is person-specific, so you don't have to feel bad.
@HappytoWanderКүн бұрын
Ooh thanks for sharing your experience! I always do 20% to be on the safe side, but good to know that might be on the generous end haha 💛
