The other commenters must be Auburn fans! (Just kidding.) I have lived in T-town or neighboring Northport for over 35 years. This video is a little heavy on eating and drinking establishments, but they do offer pretty good variety. I will add Sitar for authentic Indian food and Mr. Chens for great Chinese food. There's also Mugshots (great burgers), Central Mesa (wow!), Buddy's Steakhouse (meet colorful locals), and many more. Go downtown or to the strip on the weekend and there will be live music drifting from the plethora of bars. The cultural and recreational sites are well represented. Visit the Dina Washinton Cultural Arts Center, Jim Harrison Gallery, or Lorrie Lane Studio for the best in original fine art. Of course, there are many more like Lakes Harris, Nicol, and Lurleen for quiet afternoons of hiking, fishing, and kayaking. How about children-friendly parks like Verner and the new Randall with lots of play equipment (to name just a few). Educational opportunities abound with UA, Stillman, and Shelton State with their additional cultural and sports programs. Tuscaloosa has everything you could possibly want - an exciting place to visit, live, or work.

Best places my husband and I have found to eat so far are Sitar, California Underground, and Rooster's gas station, It is always great chilling by the Black Warrior River to eat and listen to the waves. Also check out the Tuscaloosa Public Library store section, they sell books we couldn't find anywhere else in town for a great price.

Fun stuff, thank you so much for sharing this info. Which city/location would you like us to cover next?

@@OnViewCation Well, I am visiting Mobile Alabama in April to tour the haunted battleship SS Alabama, it would be cool to know what else to do there and where to eat. Fayette Alabama might make for a good video. They have a strange obsession with frogs and a yearly Frog Level festival. There is a video on youtube of someone driving around Fayette, you can watch it and see how often you randomly spot a frog statue or painting. In October I will be visiting Baltimore Maryland to see friends who just moved there. Ideas for things for us to do there would be nice. Also in Arizona there is a tiny town called Oatman. Every day rain or shine a herd of donkeys walks through the town and you can feed them carrots. The history of the town is pretty cool and it is not a place many people seem to know about. I apologize if you have already done a video on any of these, I have not gone through all of your videos yet.

It’s affordable and mostly safe. Better than most North American cities.

You could have shortened the vid down by just saying theres absolutely nothing to do there except drink, eat, and walk around a park or museum. It's why you never hear much about bama players doing dumb ish off the field in thier free time, because Tuscaloosa is one of the most boring college towns there is. Roll Tide 💪🐘👍

Something tells me you've never been to another college town (or really traveled much anywhere for that matter) if you think Tuscaloosa is "boring".
@ExcessInModeration Жыл бұрын
@travishernandez1573 lol Im a half century old vato, I've more then circled the block . I lived all over north bama for around 13 years, just now leaving it a year ish ago. I've been to more bama, tiger, jaguar, trojan, and blazer games then you could count up to, not to mention all the 4a highschool games. Im back in Atlanta now, I went to UGA and U of Minn for a bit...my sister went to college in Daytona...My cousins here go to Spellman and Morehouse...I went to go see another cousin at USC a few months ago...I grew up in DC not far from Georgetown U and spent all my time going to Maryland and Georgetown football and basketball games... I've been to more orange crushes, players balls, homecomings, sorority and frat parties in over half the country, then you've heard about your whole life. I know college towns, and I know which ones party and which ones party HARD. Tuscaloosa, by "things to do" in a college town standards, is boring AF. But OK, the girls there are still hot as hell, I'll give tusc' that much 🔥

Having just visited, can attest that is one of the most disappointing and grungiest towns have ever seen. What a cesspool.

100% chance you couldn't find Tuscaloosa on a map. It's vastly superior to your redneck infested Lee County cow town.
