Brennaman is just like Verne Lundquist, Don Criqui or Charlie Jones - guys who were always #2 announcers at a network but seemed to always be Johnny on the spot for the big historic and classic moments that happened in various sports, a lot of times moreso than the guys who were the #1 announcers at their networks.
