Best Tile Cutter for Subway Tile

That's a little beauty, great for cutting the small mosaics without getting the backing wet and lessening the chance of the tiles coming off of the meshing while using a wet saw.

I have the 25 inch master p cutter and it works great. Montolit tools are expensive but very good quality. Nice review, I like the size of that cutter and the case is very cool.

Perhaps a dumb question for you, but would you forsee any issues with using something as large as the Masterpiuma 63pP3 to cut 3x6 subway tile? Would a smaller unit like the Minipiuma be preferable in terms of cut quality?

This looks great. Random question, any reason why this wouldn't work for cutting window glass? I have to cut 150 window lights (11"x19") and would love to get dead-on accuracy. Thanks for all the great videos.

just heard back from Montolit and they said you should be able to cut glass but should use the Mosakit Mat and oil the wheel beforehand.

it should work, just might take some time getting use to engaging the cutting wheel

Stamped steel base looks flimsy as does the protractor square. Looks like cutter needs a hold-down lever/clamping lever instead of sticking a finger in the way of the cutter. Stopping in the middle of scoring the tile to move finger which is CLAMPING the tile will lead to inaccurate score. At 4:19, it can be see the tile is not held square!

Montolit cutters have cast aluminum bases, not stamped steel. And the protractor has adjustment capability if it isn't perfectly square to the cutter when delivered
