But my problem is in construction of the mini snail pen, as you showed the work you did in Port Harcourt recently, will the pen have a hole where exces water from the pen can be drained?, Secondly, will the floor of the pen be plastered before introducing soil that will accommodate the snail?, Thank you.

The floor can be plastered and at the same time, may not be plastered. It depends on the kind of pen you are constructing.

Yes, enough watering in the pen or greenhouse is ok for them and that's what I practice. Though many still keeps water for them.

Definitely all will not be of same size, even people borne on the same day, one must be taller or bigger than one. So there is nothing wrong with that. Another thing is that the snail might be of different months.

To your question, the truth is that how many times and the new number of eggs a snail can lay, are all dependent on some factors such as how well they are being fed, their general wellbeing etc. In other words, there isn't a specific number of eggs they can lay or specific number of time as this all varies, talking from experience though. But they can at least lay up to 5 times in a year.
