Loamy soil are the soil we use for farming and I believe you can get it within any farmland.

The number of snails that can be put in a pen depends on the size of the pen as all pens are not of equal size. For instance, a pen of 2ft by 5ft can accommodate up to 50 snails

I have slot of snails in my farm. Can I leave them on the field, with building a pen. Most of their feed are available on field ( cocoa, meringa, pawpaw's etc. ) From my experience over time, alot of accidental death do occurred either by stepping on them at night, Bush burning & clearing. Yes if it's a greenhouse, you allow them to hatch by themselves but if it's a concrete pen, it's best to remove them and incubate them in a separate place.

Use loamy soil it gives them the comfort they need. If you are using the intensive system of snail farming, it's best to remove the eggs and incubate them in a separate place once they start laying.
