Instead of buying the LV agenda I want but don't actually need I am buying a piece of exercise equipment that I have been eyeing for months. I can't wait until I can start using it.

Six years ago when I had a hard time in my life I started writing gratitude journal. And I have to say that it changed my life. After six months of writing I noticed the changes in my thinking. Even though I was going through difficult times my mind was concentrated on the good. Writing gratitude journal is something I'll be doing for the rest of my life ❤ I'm so glad to hear gratitude journaling is part of your life too!

Thank you again for your honesty! We all have to learn the hard way, but your reasoned videos did help me to move from all that luxury shopping. I've got 49 dresses, isn't it crazy?😁 I'm changing some of them into tops, tailoring my clothes because my body's changing, letting things go without regret, and really almost never buying anything anymore. It's sooooo good to have some money finally! I'll be able to take the whole month off work, and I can now change my apartment in some big and small ways. Feels amazing. Good luck to everyone else on the journey 👍😀

I plan my major purchases months in advance, sometimes a year ahead! The bigger the price tag, the longer I plan and save. When I do that and it is time to make the purchase, i have found that I am not nervous to pay. Quite the opposite, I end up loving and treasuring the item even more. Also, when my stress creeps up on me, I soak in a bathtub with lots of bubbles and lavender (the smell is relaxing), take my iPad with me to the bathtub, and either read on the kindle or watch Netflix or KZbin. I set the timer on the iPad for 20 minutes so that way, I make sure to enjoy the experience. One more thing I do is go for massages or facials, 1 or 2 times a month. Nowadays, massages/facials are not as pricey as before.

I have a beautiful lilac leather Kikki K planner. I have made it my gratitude and dream planner. I love and use my Kikki K planners more than my LV leather planner. I have not used my LV planner in three years. I’ve even bought a Kikki leather pouch instead of buying the Chanel O case and I absolutely love it for keeping my headphones, and charging wires in.

@@ColourfulNoir Actual I was just having a quick clean of my bedroom and I realised I have a few different sized Kikki K pouches and they are all in use, makeup, pencil case etc. I decided against buying an LV toiletry pouch and bought a Kikki K one. I’m feeling quite pleased with myself for deciding against luxury pouches. I have not bought a bag since February when I bought the Proenza Schouler PS11 and I won’t buy anything until next February. Well that’s the plan 😇

so many useful tips Eileen! I use the spreadsheet too and it really keeps my spending in check. It's like the nutrition info on packaged food - after I take a look at how many kcals that snack is gonna cost me, many times I will reconsider haha. Also, as for shopping, these days I try to shop for my kids and my home first before I browse for my own things. Usually after I'm done with the kids' and home stuff I'm so knackered and just want to go home! That's saved me many a risky trip to Chanel :)

Hi Eileen, I found your channel a few days ago and have since binge watched all of your videos! I love your perspective and calm demeanour. You mentioned that you have been using the Chanel O Case as a wallet, is that to maximise use or do you genuinely prefer the style of a pouch over a compact wallet? Would love to see a review or hear your thoughts further on this. Also, I see a lot of luxury KZbinrs have the LV six key holder or key pouch. Do you have something similar? If not, how do you protect the inside of your luxury bags? Thanks for the wonderful content, whether or not you make videos on the above I am sure I will enjoy watching!

When I calculate how much money I wasted on items I don't use much (luxury handbags, clothes, shoes..etc), helps me to limit my shopping habits & re-think twice before purchasing again. Also, I think the price increases (LV, Chanel..inflation..etc) are pushing luxury lovers to buy impulsively because couple years from now, we wont be able to afford much & things will be overpriced.
