I had FOMO & confidence issue when I was younger as well but as I get older I learnt how to be comfortable & happy be alone and in my own skin. I have had my fair share of bad friends/fake friends so I now know that I don’t need many friends to be happy & content and will cut off toxic friends if necessary. I also need good amount of ME time to recharge. So there u go Eileen, another good content 😊. Keep up the good work 🙏

This is a great message. I used to browse at malls on the weekends too in the past. I don’t anymore. I still go to the mall sometimes, but it is more of a quick in and out to get coffee because I do prefer the coffee shop inside the mall over Starbucks. Gone are the days of spending a couple of hours going from store to store. I would only go shopping if there is a need to buy something instead of browsing. Me and a friend made a pact this year to pay off bills and save for a road trip. I still love beautiful things and I still have a wishlist but there is no time pressure to buy anything right away. Right now a vintage LV is on my wishlist and that is about it. I love the new releases from many brands but I am not in the market to get anything new this year. And if I don’t get the vintage LV this year, it can go on the wishlist for next year. But the road trip will happen this year. 💕

I love it when you share your experience and insights about time, finance and lifestyle. Most of them resonate well with me. I used to keep buying things or wishlisting luxury things I dont need. Ever since I read the book poor dad rich dad, my mindset about money totally changed. I've also just started investing/trading at the age of 27. If there's one thing I do wish is that I wished to socialise more I am the worst introvert and I get anxiety just talking to people.

I regret buying things that "everyone must have" without regards to whether I even like them. Some popular handbags are not for me and I didnt find that out until I spent the money and was wondering why I didnt feel enjoyment from these items. I sold most of them and lost money. Now I make a huge effort to ask myself whether I actually like something or just had social media overload! We work hard for our money and deserve to have it go towards what makes us happy.

Hi Eye Lean. I relate to this vlog 100%. Firstly you'll be proud of me. I returned a pair of Balenciaga Speed Trainers I purchased last year Nov. 2020. It was just too expensive ($795) and it took me since to realize I wouldn't get my cost per wear. However, I did replace those sneakers with another less costly Golden Goose sneakers $495. The part of your video I relate to was yesterday I spent all day trying to get price adjustments on clothing that went on sale. Then, later that night, I returned a pair of sneakers I purchased that were a size too large. These were sneakers I ordered and returned after Ieturning the Balenciaga sneakers. Then, I returned a top that I didn't need. I was so exhausted. By the time I got home, it was 830pm. I couldn't get anything done today because shopping and returning stuff yesterday was a full-time job. I wasted so much time.I need to STOP shopping and I'm starting tomorrow. I don't need these items, but when I see something in my Nordstrom cart that goes on sale, I feel the need to "PLACE AN ORDER. Nordstrom is the only retail store I shop. I love Nordstrom. But I have to shop for items I need and not want.

I would have spent less money on luxury items. I would have thought each purchase through better. Maybe I could have avoided a few years of the buy and sell cycle. I’m in a better place now. But I can’t help but feel bad about the money I lost due to my frivolous buying in the past. I also spent so much time online shopping. Which I have overcome also. Now I’m more present with my family.

We all live and learn! I refuse to think about I should have done this, I should have done that! As always not 100% agree with you. But that’s the beauty of sharing point of views! ☺️ We don’t want to shop accessively. But when I hang out with my girls, it’s fun to browse stores! And honey, some ppl still need to shop to help the economy! Hehe Excessively is no good in everything. I mean it’s just a bit in “boring mode” to restrain from everything. Agreed to make the best financial decision of your own life 😉 Btw, this is just a respond to your minimalist series back to back, lately. I skipped some, tbh. But watching those nonstop luxury hauls are too much! As well. Prob I’d enjoy shopping and watching affordable (&good finds) hauls ! 😁 Take care, eileen.

Personally, I would kick myself really hard! But, in my defense, when I was spending big money, there wasn't all this conversation about minimalism and conscious shopping. We are talking about fifteen years ago. There was a time that people were spending like crazy! You could see a fight over a bag in Louis Vuitton! So many things have changed! (especially in Greece).
