I’m on my master difficulty run now, and I’d like to add 2 more things about the rot-infused arrows: 1. Time slows immediately when you charge them, so they’re easier to hit the mark with. 2. Most regular enemies die in one hit from those arrows, even on master difficulty. Helped me out quite a lot against swarms.

Favorite skill so far is the running heavy attack. It does a lot of damage, has a small AOE, stuns most enemies and requires very little time sprinting beforehand. Run up, heavy hit, push sprint once and hit heavy attack again.

Also, striking the enemy weak spots seems crucial in this difficulty, not only for dealing more damage, but also in dropping courage pickups, which is even more helpful when building up rot actions is harder than usual. Good thing I’m used to the Horizon games, which also highly encourage striking enemies at their weak spots.

I’m currently on the master difficulty woodsman first play through this game is like a cute dark souls at times but I’m hooked Rot level 4 but my god I need more karma thanks for the tips

It took me so many tries in every boss fight on master difficulty, but I managed to complete it. I played the game for the first time on normal, I did an easy play through to get the combat based trophies, then I did master mode and got the platinum trophy.

I agree with the lock on, I don't use anymore, sometimes it got stuck and you can't move your camera, and you die! What's the best for DPS? I'm in master spirit guide difficulty and I'm having hard time with fight challenges with timer!

Thanks for checking out the video! The best thing I can say is to spam melee attacks for the tough time challenges. Just attack nonstop until it's over. Make use of the heavy attack charge at the end of your combos. Try to parry and build up rot quickly for rot hammer

Do master difficulty makes collectibles finding harder? I'm planning to platinum this game but I prefer to Play the Normal mode first without thinking of anything then 2nd playthrough,play through master diff but collect all collectibles for fully upgrade and more easier

Well things like Rot Chests and those challenges will be harder to complete because it's higher difficulty, but that's pretty much it. Everything is still in the same location for you to collect

Gotta ask, how would you rank the boss fights on master difficulty from easiest to hardest? I just narrowly made it through the Adira fight, and she was by far the toughest one yet. None of the previous fights felt anywhere nearly as tough.

I'm honestly not sure how I would rank them, it's been a while since I played Kena. Each boss has a little gimmick that you need to figure out and once you do, it's just a matter of rinse and repeating the process. From what I remember, the bosses got increasingly more difficult with the Rot God being the toughest by far.

@@ZenkaiGamingZ I assume it’s the case with the 4 big bosses, but not the mid-way bosses. The rot eater, which came a little before Adira, was definitely one of the easiest to me. Definitely easier than the 2 bosses before it, and especially easier than Taro, who I’d consider the 2nd hardest so far.

@@ZenkaiGamingZ okay, I just reached the rot god, and I think it’s pretty bs that there’s no checkpoint between phases, and no healing before phase 3. Plus that grab is almost impossible to avoid. I may finish it eventually, but not today. I’m not as patient as some other commenters are. Maybe I’d be okay with it if there were checkpoints between phases, or if phases 2 and 4 weren’t so ridiculously long. Perhaps they can add checkpoints to this fight in an update, just like Playtonic did in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. Also, Toshi was tough, as were the 3 bosses before him, but nowhere nearly as tough as Adira. Mainly because that shield dash really helps things out, not only for staggering those bosses, but also for not requiring rot energy, and for dealing some crazy damage. P. S. Yes, I did get all the meditation spots, and all the abilities.

@@Ori_Kohav The Rot God is tough with no checkpoints. The part that kept jacking me up was the last phase with all the explosions, just blew me up

Your channel has a ton of potential to be a chill and helpful place for gamers to up their game at. One thing I need to strongly suggest is getting upping your mic quality. Current one causes sound clipping when you talk loudly and it just muffles the sound, causes too much treble, and can be kinda grating at times. It's a shame too because you have a good voice and reasonable speaking speed and explanation skills. It's just all held back by that horrid mic lol.
